My DH has just decided that he wants to drive to the World and meet me and DD4 there on the 16th. So, we will now have a car. Staying at POFQ. Should we drive to the parks, since we will have a car and free parking, or just rely on buses as previously planned??

Haha seriously. I was so bored today I packed... I have 28 days left. Me packing was an attempt for time to speed up.

Husband and kids are all packed. Toiletries and food is all packed. Looking around all proud of myself for being ahead of schedule only to realize I have nothing in my suitcase yet. SMH.

I'm not bringing any shorts only capris and jeans. Lots of T's tho. My thoughts are that I don't want to go back to the hotel to change when the sunsets.

nope! you are not alone. i'm bringing shorts, tees, tanks, and dresses. and two pairs of sandals. and 3 bathing suits. LOL

My goodness, everyone has been chatty! I've been catching up for the last 20 minutes! I got our Mickey Mail today Seemed sort of strange b/c we only booked the trip a week ago. I actually recieved 2 Mickey Mails, the first one had our original check-out date, and the 2nd one had the changes I made on Tuesday. Hope everyone is having a magical weekend!

So.... Who was able to secure a Dessert Party reservation for 2 today???? THIS GIRL!!!! Woohoo!!! What are the odds? I was so excited I was shaking LOL

advice please...so DH and I have been talking, at first we didn't want to stay at one of the values because it cost a little more and Twirl Mania would be there when we were. Well I've looked on their site and they won't be starting their competitions til the 15th. We have decided to leave the 12th after the kids get home from school so we'll have the 13-16 in the parks and head home on the 17th after a visit to DTD.
I got an email reminding me of the military resort rates, so looked into it, for the first couple nights I can get it $4 cheaper the Comfort Suites then the last night it would go up a bit,but overall we're talking $28 more if I stayed there 3 nights then moved to Comfort Suites.
Do you think it would be safe to think that staying onsite the first 3 nights would be ok and not full of screaming girls(and I know they can because DD plays travel ball,lol) being that their schedule doesn't really start til the 15th?

i am a notorious over-packer. i will definitely be bringing jeans and sweaters as well, plus my jean jacket and another light jacket. but i'm hoping i get to wear my warm weather stuff more!!

Me too! I think I'm bringing just about everything in my closet!

We are driving so I can bring lots of options, just started to do the laundry tonight! We leave our home 1 week from now!

Sooo jealous!! I am flying and have to pay for my luggage. We don't even get one checked bag for free. Ridiculous!! I always go over the weight limit too. It's not good lol.

That's the one thing I hate about flying, I can never bring enough clothes!

We are renting a car and I talked DH into upgrading to a bigger one so I can bring more stuff!

Because we've had two trips with that ended up with hospital stays and a trip to the clinic (my son and appendicitis and both kids needed antibiotics on different trips) I will do my regular PSA and remind you all now to pack meds and first aid supplies and if you are Canadian PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you have adequate out of country medical insurance. There was no better feeling than getting tens of thousands of dollars of bills marked PAID when it was all said and done. It could have been financially devastating for us had we not had insurance.

Not to bring anyone down at all.. I just like to throw that reminder into theses threads so nobody finds themselves in trouble if someone gets sick.

That was a great PSA! My packing list always includes a mini pharmacy. Last night we were reminded of the value of that when my DH experienced what we believe were the intense pains of a kidney stone attack. Thanks to a few leftover pain pills from a prior surgery he was able to get comfortable and sleep through the night. Today he is feeling fine but those were a few scary hours last night. You can bet those same pills plus a variety of OTC things will be with us at WDW beginning Feb. 11th! I've often offered band aides to grateful people in the parks.

I'm sure I am packing way too many clothes, but I want to be prepared for anything! And I want to be sure I am overprepared for cold weather, that way we will hopefully not have any! If I have to wear the same couple pairs of shorts the whole trip I'm good with that! My mini pharmacy is also packed, along with an assortment of shoes & snacks. I can see the eye rolling already when we go to load the van But hey better to have it & not need it, than need it & not have it right?
