*** New Official February 2013 Thread ***

2/9 Departure day. 8 AM ADR at Boma. But I think I'm cancelling in order to change our flights to leave earlier in the day. Will it be a big deal if we stay at AKL and we're not eating there at all?! :faint: We never have before...my family is not into risk-taking with our meals. LOL

Breakfast at Boma is my favorite WDW breakfast. Due to logistics I do not make that ADR unless we are staying at AKL; but we make sure to enjoy it at least once when we do stay there. In addition to the extremely wide variety of buffet choices, Boma has a made to order omelet station. There are plenty of familiar food choices in addition to some extras you are likely only find at Boma. And they serve the same yummy juice as the Tusker House in AK.

I have already started planning for December 2013. First time I have started on the next trip before the current one was even here. Feels a little weird.

2 to plan! in a way sounds really great that what you don't get to the first trip you do the 2nd!!

Moopdog, if we both end up at DC on the 8th we will have to meet!
We arrive Superbowl Sunday. My sis wants to watch the game and I always do but seriously, I'll be in disney! why would I waste my time!

Oh WOW! You really have a trip there. I will only be traveling 670 miles to Disney. Takes about 10 hours. (more or less). I hope you have a safe and wonderful tip! Welcome to the USA. Hope to bump into you there.

Hey Katina, we will be driving straight in (from Gulfport) after school gets out on feb 8th, looks like you will be on the road that day as well.Have a safe trip and have fun at WDW!

I think that Epcot has evening extra magic hours on Friday in February. They are open until 11 pm on Friday night for resort guests.:cheer2:

Except the very last week. They switched Friday's nighttime EMH with Monday's HS nighttime EMH. Technically that makes it 1st March, and I'm excited to hop from HS to Epcot on Monday, but I'm a little bummed that it seems all the parks will close by 9pm on our last park night. :sad1: Hopefully they'll bump up regular park hours somewhere instead.

We'll be at CSR the 9th - 15th! 51 days!:cool1:

(For those asking about Values - we were at Pop, but moved to CSR yesterday when it finally showed some availability!)

Should be lots of fun, and we have same dates for our magical Mardi Gras 9TH - 15th!!

Good news is I have a pretty likely buyer for my scooter which means hopefully tomorrow I can call and change from room only to the Play Stay dine package, which would take some of the financial pressure off. We only will need "real money" for our two ADR meals, some for cheap breakfasts and non-resort coffees and "adult beverages" which I AM budgeting for! We don't need many souvenirs, I am not really a shopper. T-shirt, some cheap pens and Mr Potato Head parts will do it. Bad new is there seem to be no steam train tours available while we are there, so will sign up for Behind the Seeds instead. Anybody done the balloon ride in DD? Is it fun?

Happy happy joy joy. 41 days to Disney!

Katie

PIF day is today! Scary and excited! I am so proud of myself for saving up for this trip like a good Disney girl! And we still have almost 2 whole months to save up for anything else that arises!

Any reason NOT to PIF early? Our date isn't until Jan 11.

We will be at POR Jan 30-Feb 8 :cheer2:

Where will everyone be Superbowl Sunday? Which park? Easy WDW says HS is best, that it was very quiet there last year on Superbowl Sunday, but Touring Plans has it as the park to avoid. That's also the only night with EMH at Magic Kingdom.

What to do ... what to do :confused3 Thoughts from anyone who's been there Superbowl Sunday in previous years?

That's the day we arrive, we are heading to AK, with and ADR at RainForest Cafe at 5:30 and depending on how tired we are, we may head to MK for EMH. If we are tired from traveling then we will head back to POR to watch the game!

Unless of course DH's Giants make it to the Superbowl, then we will definately watch every minute of the game!!

Nah - no reason. You'll still get it all back if you had to cancel at the 45 day marker.

Only thing that can't be done once PIF is adding insurance.

63 days and counting! Keeping my fingers crossed the last Disney card payment will be put through in time to max it out with our vacation payment before the deadline.

Oh! There's a thread on the food board about giving daily live updates while at a Disney park and there's only two people signed up for February. The poster said if more don't sign up then it'll have to go on hiatus. :worried: Check out post #1446 http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2998319&page=97. It looks like fun since I'll only have my phone with me and know I won't remember to upload all of our food pictures by the time I get home. (I'll remove this part if linking to another part of the DIS breaks a rule.)

I had no idea about that thread. I could probably do it. I take pics of my food anyway!

Whoopee! I am now PIF. Sold the scooter, called and changed my room-only to the play stay dine and it cost $125 less than what the Disney site quoted me.

Count me in Feb 1-7, Pop Century, 7 day tickets, quick service and a pocket full of joy!
Disney does great customer service!

Would do cartwheels but at my age might strain something I'll need at the park.

42 days... 6 weeks today I will be there.... Not sure whether to give up searching for a BOG ADR, might just go for lunch!

:cheer2: That's fantastic! So glad it worked out for you!

63 days for us too!:cheer2:

I haven't had the Disney bug too badly lately because I have been spending so much time getting ready for Christmas:). I love that when Christmas is over it's only 2 months to go and I still have the trip to look forward to.

Yay Christmas! I am sort of trading Christmas for Disney. We agreed to get each other the new Pixar Shorts 2 Blu Ray and got to WDW in Feb. as a delayed big present. One of the luxuries of being a grown up. I work overtime Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and the rest of the week, but we will go Christmas Eve to local theater that serves beer and food and watch The Hobbit. Somebody has to be answering the phones to help you set up your iPad, iPhone, iPod, etc! It will be merry at work though, and they will feed us, too.

Happy holiday-of-your-choice, everybody!!
