*** New Official February 2013 Thread ***

Seeing the thread about going to Disney in "january 2014" makes me think--I can't imagine waiting a year to go!!! Although I have been. but that seems so far away!!

Updated ADR's, with addition of Cirque Tickets! (well - I'm buying them today). We're spending 9 nights at AKL, will not have a car and will be on Regular DP. :cool1:

1/31 Arrival Day 8PM AKL

2/1 MK day - 5:10 PM O'hana

2/2 AK Day - 8 AM breakfast at Tusker House

2/3 Epcot Day - 4:30 Dinner at Via Napoli

2/4 HS Day - 4:30 Dinner at 50's Primetime

*** SHOULD I CALL AND GET FANTASMIC DINNER PACKAGE?? We've never seen the show before****

2/5 Downtown Disney. Son and DH will go to DisneyQuest while DD and I do shopping. Then dinner at Fulton's for all of us. DD and I will go to see Cirque and boys will go back to DQ or shopping on their own.

*** I am torn about whether to do the 6 or 8 pm show, we've never seen it and I'm not sure how late it goes. I'd rather do the 6 pm, but our 5:30 ADR will have to be much earlier.

2/6 MK day again. 6 PM HDDR (yay!)

2/7 Epcot again. Dinner at Garden Grill 5:25 Will sleep in, go & and stay late to see Illuminations.

2/8 Last day!! If weather permits.... and finances allow it, we may have a day at Discovery Cove. If not - no worries, we'll just go to our favorite park, enjoy the resort.... and possibly do Mini Golf!! I have no ADR's right now.

2/9 Departure day. 8 AM ADR at Boma. But I think I'm cancelling in order to change our flights to leave earlier in the day. Will it be a big deal if we stay at AKL and we're not eating there at all?! :faint: We never have before...my family is not into risk-taking with our meals. LOL

2/4 HS Day - 4:30 Dinner at 50's Primetime

We've never done the dinner package. The show usually doesn't totally fill up that time of year. We've never had trouble getting a seat for it in January or February. I think the dinner consists of a box lunch and they put you in a reserved sitting area at the back of the stadium.

I realized that I hadn't scheduled any meals at the restaurant in our resort, WCC in WL, and that just didn't seem right. :scratchin So we are planning to eat breakfast there on our last day. We'll have to catch the ME around 9:30 am, so that should work out well.

We'll be at CSR the 9th - 15th! 51 days!:cool1:

(For those asking about Values - we were at Pop, but moved to CSR yesterday when it finally showed some availability!)

We will be at POR Jan 30-Feb 8 :cheer2:

Where will everyone be Superbowl Sunday? Which park? Easy WDW says HS is best, that it was very quiet there last year on Superbowl Sunday, but Touring Plans has it as the park to avoid. That's also the only night with EMH at Magic Kingdom.

What to do ... what to do :confused3 Thoughts from anyone who's been there Superbowl Sunday in previous years?

Hopping on!

OKW - Feb 24 - 28

ADR - Feb 25 - Ohana Dinner
Feb 26 - Via Napoli

Not too many ADR's - I actually LOVE Disney's counter service that I need to make sure I have more than enough empty meals to take advantage!

We will be at Epcot that day. Not sure if that's good or bad. We might leave and just go watch the game in our hotel room though, unsure at this point.

I have already started planning for December 2013. First time I have started on the next trip before the current one was even here. Feels a little weird.

The Dance competitions are at HS that weekend which is probably why Touring Plans said to avoid it.

We're planning on MK that day. It's our first day and we really want to start the parks off w/ MK. I'm hoping by 5 the park should be kind of empty??? The only reason we watch the game is for the commercials

We have done the fantasmic dinner pkg and i thought it was well worth it, bc your seats are reserved in the center section. Plus, you enter through a different entrance than the regular crowd. It was alot less stressful than waiting in line to get in for us.

This is what we are doing too. Our first day also & I am thinking the same thing.:)

Oh happy dance! I just secured a room at Pop Century checking in Feb. 1 and out Feb 7. Couldn't stay til the 8th cause no cheap room available but this means we are GOING!!!!! I haven't been since 1988 and hubby since 1972 or so. O Frabjous Day! Callooh! Callay! She chortled in her joy!

Just watched the blu ray of Alice (1951). Love the Mickey Mouse in Wonderland cartoon!!

Will try to upgrade to play stay dine when scooter sells.

Same game plan here! Should be checking in around noon and then off to MK. Can't wait!!!

We are roughly planning epcot on Friday night so we can have dinner, do a couple old school attractions like Captain Eo (which I saw in 1988 when it was new) and Spaceship earth and watch illuminations. Saturday is undecided...maybe AK or more Epcot.

Super Bowl Sunday will do MK as want to avoid the dance teams at HS, hoping to get there early, do the coasters and putter about until close. I am hoping to get a late evening Dumbo ride with hubby for old times sake, or at least walk around New Fantasyland and eat pork shank!

Monday Sci Fi in HS and Fantasmic

Rest to be determined. Have to do MK sometime during week, hope to get hubby the steam train tour.

I think that Epcot has evening extra magic hours on Friday in February. They are open until 11 pm on Friday night for resort guests.:cheer2:

Me too!! There's a thread too. Not very active at the moment.

We've got a Fantasmic Dinner Package only because I don't feel like waiting in line for a seat. I'd rather do the reserved seating. The section is on the right of the stage now, I believe, but Robo confirmed for me (and others) that you can move to other parts of the auditorium.

Lunch and reserved seating? Works for me!

Nah - the boxed meal was during the holidays to help out... but it actually looked really good! The packages are at BD, MM, or H&V for normal meals.
