*** New Official February 2013 Thread ***

I always pack with a check list. I've been writing down everything I might possibly need and then one month before I start to cross out the superfluous or anything I can buy while there (sunscreen, soap, shampoo, anything that a trip to Publix or Walmart can cover). Hopefully this will help me reduce our 4 bags down to 2, but who knows!

My must have is a power cord (with an adapter since all my appliances have a different plug) and a portable shoe organizer. It doesn't only work for shoes, we hang the organizer on the bathroom door and put everything in there, from shoes to toiletries to used clothes. In the end we throw all excess toiletries away and roll the shoe organizer with the used clothes inside. a good way to separate the dirty clothes from the clean ones.

Hey everyone! I have a question. There are 4 different people on my reservation all paying separately. I'm the one who made the reservation, but they all have their names on it. Do they have to go through me to make a payment, or can they call directly and pay directly off their credit cards?

I would think that as long as they have the confirmation number they could make their own payments. Don't quote me on it, but a phone call to the reservation line should be able to correctly answer your question.

That's what I thought. Thanks!

I'm so excited! My mom is making Alice costumes for my girls! I hope we'll meet her when we go to Epcot!

Home made costumes are always so much prettier than store bought ones.

I agree. :)
My daughter made a Snow White costume for her daughter for Halloween. I can't wait to see her in it in WDW when we are all together at the WL this February.

92 days for DH and I, although our first vacation day is in Albuquerque technically. Just told my sis who we're meeting in Disney (she and her DH from Arizona) she has 93 days to go and she said "hey thanks for making me nervous! im not ready!" haha.

Wow, lots of Dis'ers are going to be at POFQ during the beginning of Feb. Are you all going to decorate your windows?

I have lime green mickeys that I wear on my bags too. Hopefully I will bump into some of you while I am there!

This is my first time responding on the boards. My family (DH, 12 year ol DS and 8 year old DS) will be staying at POFQ from Feb 22 - March 2. We will be celebrating my 8 year old's Birthday on the 22nd when we arrive. We have dinner ADR's at:

T-Rex (8 year olds pick for his B-Day)
Ohana
Via Napoli
Sci Fi
Liberty Tree Tavern
50's Prime Time Cafe
Biergarten
Crystal Palace

Cannot wait. This will be my 10th trip to Disney World but the first time for the Dining Plan. This is also our first time staying at anything other than a value resort - except for our Honeymoon when we stayed only 1 night at the Wilderness Lodge. I just hope the weather will be ok when we go. It's supposed to be a colder winter than usual in the south but being from Michigan, it will be a lot warmer there than here.

We will be at WDW for some of the same time as you, and we are celebrating my son's 7th birthday. We arrive on 2/24 though, and are staying at WL. Also trying TRex this time, but on 2/27 for lunch so we can do some shopping the day after DS's birthday. We're also doing Ohana and LTT.

I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about the park hours being extended for February and if so, when extended park hours will be announced. I know that in the past, I have seen the park hours extended prior to my trip, but I can't remember how early. I know that MK at least was open until 10 and some nights 1am last February, but 2013's schedule is showing a 9pm closing time for most of the same days. I would really like to know what the likelihood is of the hours being extended. It might affect my plans and my ADRs and I'd like to have time to make changes if I want to.

Hi all! I think I got everyone added to the roll call. If you didn't have your resort on your post, I just put undecided resort until I know where you are staying. Please let me know if there is a mistake or if you are not on the roll call at all. If you would like to join our Facebook group, please PM me and I will get you added! :)

91 days until my trip! I am sooo excited! Just have to book my flight now! :)

My 2 boys want to eat at Sci-Fi but I just read that you can not eat in a car with a high chair, which I will need for my 5 month old. Does anyone know about Sci Fi with an infant? Wondering if I can put her in a booster so we can sit in a car. If not, I am going to cancel that reservation because that was really the only reason they want to eat there!

I'm staying at POR and I plan to decorate my window. We will actually be there Mardi Gras/Valentine's week. I decided to decorate our window in a Mardi Gras theme. I've purchased Mardi Gras color twinkle lights. I purchased Mickey and Minnie party decorations to use the cutouts in the window, hanging them with suction cups of course. I've also purchased Mardi Gras beads to hang as well. I'm still on the lookout for window clings but haven't really found any that fit the theme and don't want to bother making them myself but may end up doing so anyway.

Wow I loved the Wilderness Lodge, stayed there for a week on 25th Anniversary. Wish this time we could of gotten into the POR, but it was all booked, so will have to settle for the value Sports, but booked 2 rooms. Hopefully I am not making a mistake, but plan to not be in the rooms but to sleep.

Well, we are in the same boat- I havent stayed at the value since my kids were small. And I have really grown to love POR, so I was a little sad to not book there. However- I would rather be at disney than anywhere else. So , I figured it was only a place to sleep. Especially since we will be in the parks more this year, than last. We have always gone in May, and always went back to the resort to swim and cool off. I'm really excited to be there in cooler weather. I think we will all be fine debidigidelights !!

We switched from AoA to POFQ. Same dates.

I'm excited to join this thread!! I have been convinced by a very good friend to do the PHM!!! We are tentatively staying at a value resort, TBD, arriving on 2/21-2/25. This is my first half marathon, I was at Disney for the marathon last year and put it on my bucket list... who knew I would be doing it so soon!!!
