Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Cheese sauce- ALL of 'em!

Crystal hot sauce. It's different from Tabasco, Pete's, etc. I can't handle a lot of "heat" in my food, but I love Crystal. It's such a bummer their processing facility isn't in NOLA anymore. It was AWESOME to be cruising down the highway and have the smell of hot Crystal come rolling thru the windows. All that's left is the sign on top of the building.

Tamarind based dipping sauce from Indian restaurants (like the one with the bread service at Sanaa!)

Today's Topic (Sat, 2/21) -

Since it's the weekend and a lot of folks have more time to play, this is one of my favorite gratitude exercises! It's called a 3-2-1, and is really good to do - daily, weekly, at family dinners, as you're putting the kids to bed... whenever works for you.

3 things you're grateful for
2 things you've done well _*__
1 thing you're looking forward to

* today, this week, whatever period you're using
...

Good Saturday Morning

I’m going to reflect on this past week….

3 things I’m grateful for….
*My DD22 came home last night for a few days - my heart is so happy
*Our truck broke and left me stranded (long story) and the tow company was so wonderful to work with - I was so grateful for that.
*My mom, who has a terminal lung disease, had a positive doctor appointment which is so good. I’m really praying that all 4 grandparents can live long enough to see Katie get her white doctor coat, and god willing, graduate from her doctorate program.

2 things I’ve done well…
*I made an amazing dinner last night - shrimp tacos, coconut rice and black beans
*My job - I solved some issues with people’s accounts, which is a good thing.

1 thing I’m looking forward to….
*Our upcoming WDW vacation. With DD22 home, we’re in full planning mode. We have outfits to plan & shirts to order, which determines which ears we’re wearing, dining plans to finalize. The trip is now less than 3 months away.

Morning all,

3 things I'm grateful for:
1. Chilled weekends - I love a weekend where you don't have much planned and can relax and take it easy. This weekend is one of those for me and I'm enjoying it already!
2. Getting out in the fresh air - I try and get out walking every day, weather permitting, and I always feel so much better after doing so.
3. Good food - weekends tend to mean treats food wise for me and I'm always so grateful for these as they make so happy!

2 things I've done well:
1. Over the past year or so I feel like I've finally realised who I am and what I want from life, and I've had a few revelations recently about my friendships and my career that have really helped make me feel better.
2. Kept up my daily exercise routine. There are some days I really struggle with this, especially when the weather is poor or i don't feel 100%, but I think I've done well to keep this up.

1 thing I'm looking forward to:
Like Slo, I have my upcoming WDW/Universal trip that is the main thing I'm looking for to. We're doing 1 week in Universal first and then a week in WDW. Head off 30th April which is now only 68 days away! :woohoo:I'm really looking forward to both parts of the trip - visiting Epic for the first time and spending a lot more time at IoA than I did last trip (we only spent 1 day which meant I missed Velocicoaster and would kill to go on Hagrid's again!) - and I've never been to the Flower & Garden festival either so really looking forward to that.

Good morning friends

1 Three things I'm grateful for are positive memories and moments both past, present, and God-willing to come. The gift of enjoying reading. Happy mail of faith and cheer.

2 Two things I've done well are organizing and paring down. I am not a big shopping fan but enjoy doing my best to save my Dad and I money on needed purchases.

3 One thing, God-willing, I most look forward to is regaining normal walking mobility.

Sauces
Miracle whip not mayonnaise miracle whip
I’m just gonna keep it plain
Mustard
Ketchup
Pickle relish
Don’t get me wrong I do like some of the other sauces and condiments y’all mentioned but those are my heavy hitters always have them I think they always will be - I always reach for them the most so those are going to be the three I’m gonna say I’m most grateful for because with them I can make other sauces

Three things in grateful for
I’m grateful for my job it can be pain at times but I’m very grateful for it
I’m very grateful for my wonderful nice neighbors
I’m grateful to know who my true friends are in a very grateful to have them as friends

Two things I’ve done well
This best month was challenged at work with an accounting problem and I actually figured out and solved the problem proved to the CPAs that they were wrong that their accounting was wrong I’m very proud of myself they in turn handed me quite the project the challenged my little brain in the accounting like it has not been challenged in over 20 years and not only that I succeed I did a really nice job and got told I did a great job that really made me feel good and then I told him don’t ever do that again🤣🤣🤣🤣

Another thing I do well I’m extremely organized A personality person so I always like to take care of things immediately I’m very anal about my schedule addressing things so when something comes up that throws it off I have learned through the years to handle it a whole lot better than what I used to when I was younger so I’m proud of myself for that

One thing I’m looking forward to: I have a big cruise plan and a Disney trip in July I’m meeting somebody a friend on the cruise and then I am meeting a different friend and sharing a trip with a DISNEY after the cruise so I’m really looking forward to this

So for Today's Topics (Sun, 2/22) - 3 things you're grateful for about or from California,

or 3 supermarket employees you are or have been grateful for

I was born back east but have lived out here in California since infancy thus I am a California gal at heart. I can't imagine home being anywhere else. Plus, ::MickeyMo is not far.

Dad and I have a kind and faithful friend who works at Ralph's.

My beloved late Grandpa so many years ago worked at a long gone now Ralphs.

I have a very fond memory of a grocery store employee from 40 years ago he was so funny I would do my grocery list and I didn’t have a lot of money back then so I would write up my grocery list and I wouldn’t estimate how much every little item was gonna cost and then I had my coupons so I would figure out down to the penny including tax how much my groceries were gonna cost and I would get in his line every week and me and him would have a contest and he would say how much is it gonna cost and I would tell him I think it’s gonna cost act and if I was right he would double my coupons and I can’t tell you how many times I got my coupon doubled but it was a lot this went on for years and I just enjoyed talking to him he’s a Young person and I just enjoyed talking to him every week I’d always get his line not just for that he was just a nice person and I also enjoyed to camaraderie and talking to him I really miss him

I went grocery shopping once I didn’t realize I didn’t have my wallet with me I have never done that ever and I go to checkout and I was so embarrassed I did not have my wallet with me so the cashiers like you need to go to the front desk and I said OK and this is the grocery store I’ve been sharpening it for 40+ years so I go to the front desk and I tell the woman I said I live a mile from here I’m gonna go home I’m gonna get my wallet I’ll be right back I’ll pay for these groceries and she’s like do you have your phone with you and I said yes I do and she’s like do you have your card on your phone I said oh my gosh yes I do and she’s like pay for them with your phone and I’m like oh my gosh I didn’t even think of that and I was just so grateful because I wasn’t thinking it was just so embarrassed that I had forgotten my wallet I mean my wallet is usually always in my purse but I had to take it out for something else and forgot to put it back in so so happy I didn’t have to drive home and drive back up there I could just use my phone and I was so happy I’d put my card on my phone

There’s a person at the grocery store again same store shopped at for 40+ years he stocks shelves at the store and it’s not just one section he does multiple areas at the store and he’s always extremely friendly and really nice very personable and he always check in with me when he sees me make sure I don’t need anything helps me find stuff grab things for me because I’m short and he doesn’t do that just for me he does it for everybody because I see him do it for everybody and it’s just so nice 😊

I have never been to California but it is a state that’s on my bucket list to visit and not just because DISNEY there I am hoping to see it soon I would love to go to several of the national parks in that state

Afternoon all,

I don't think I've ever had much interaction with supermarket employees good or bad, and my only foray to California was to Disney and LA so haven't got much to go on! So I'll keep it brief:

1. Anaheim Ducks - a lifelong dream of mine to see them came true last March, and I have far too much merch with them on it.

2. Disneyland - while it's not my favourite, it is the original and I'm so grateful to have got the chance to visit.

3. Universal Studios - nowhere near as good as the Orlando one but it has a unique layout and was fun to visit. While it doesn't beat the original, the Jurassic World version of the water ride was my favourite along with the backlot tour.
