lol, the only reason I'm going solo is hubby has to pick his days off a yr in advance so he couldn't change them when they changed the TOT dates And he won't let me take the kids out if school this time

Will post our ADR's and plans as I make the last few dining adjustments but we have the Wishes Dessert Party on the 23rd and probably the MNSSHP on the 22nd! Can't wait!!!!!!!!! Our first vacation as a blended family!

Haven't checked in here in forever but am getting really excited for our trip. We had to change dates to 10/20-10/26 and CBR but it got us Free Dining so it was totally worth it to move out a few dates. I am still playing w/ my ADRs a little but I think what I have is what we are stuck with. They aren't terrible so I'll take it. Here is where are are now:

Happy that you were able to get a reservations. My DD has been asking from 180 days out for Be Our Guest and we weren't even able to get one then. Ugh! Oh we'll. I keep looking because you never know.

When you apply for the College Program, you are able to select 3 jobs (not that it's guaranteed you'll be put in one of those 3). This is Derek's 2nd time on the program. The first time he got put into quick food service at the All Star Movies Resort. He didn't put down restaurant/food service as any of his choices. He wasn't very happy with his job but he showed up every day and did a good job (his boss was willing to give him a high recommendation if he wanted to stay on after the program).

This time he got put into Transportation (which I believe was one of his 3 picks). He didn't find out what job until he checked in. Yes, they do train you in what ever job you get assigned to. Derek is older too, so I don't know if they tend to put the older ones on jobs like this or not. (he's 24)

Make sure your son understands: if he does apply and gets accepted, he won't be able to "switch" jobs after he gets there. If he accepts, he's accepting what ever position they put him in. They also work these kids.....a lot for very minimum pay. After they pull out the rent/utility payments out of their paychecks.....they aren't left with much for groceries and entertainment. Now with that being said........he signed up for a second time.....so it's a wonderful experience, you make good friends and you get to play at the parks.

Maybe your son would be interested if he saw pictures and such about the program.....just laying around (sneaky.....lol).

No, we are from Oregon and he was attending a college here. It's not uncommon for them to bring west coast kids over to WDW and visa versa for DL.
