I found a contract ID for Continental Airlines (no ID is ever asked for) on the www.flyertalk.com National Board. When I combined the code, 5037126 with the Entertainment Coupon ID 10009123, it beat my already low rates by another $5. Maybe it will work for some of you also!

Do you have a link to the discussion on flyertalk.com? I would like to read it.... I haven't been over there in a while.

Anyone have any thoughts on this contract id? It does save $5 more......

Same here! except my dates are later in May. :cool1:

It worked for me for May 30-June 6!

Are you all members of Continental's frequent flyer program? Did you sign up? I looked on thier website and it is very easy to do.This lowered my rate another $7.00.Started out with Budget for $249 for 10 days and thought that was great, this would bring it down to $152!!! Thanks to everyone sharing!!!! ::MinnieMo

Mine dropped by about $5 too, every little bit helps. Does anyone have any details about this code? Do we need to belong to Continentals FF program, show any proof of membership, etc?

The Priceless ID has been used lots of times by lots of people with no problems, has anyone used the Continental one yet?

So not trying to rain on anyone's parade here...One thing to think about...and I may be remembering wrong...but I thought there was discussion a while back about using codes from FF programs that the rental companies actually had a fee or something for using those codes because you got FF miles out of it. It was a while ago, and maybe they don't have that policy anymore. But I distinctly remember that so I never use FF contract IDs just for that reason...well that and mostly they aren't better than Priceless anyway. If the end result with this Continental thing is still better then I guess none of that matters.

Mine would go up about $15 over the priceless code, but worth a shot.

My quote doesn't show anything for taking miles rather than National "points." Sometimes when I put certain codes in, there's a 50 cents charge or something very minimal. If you go to www.flyertalk.com and scroll down, you will come to the forum for National. One of the first posts there is titled something like "any good codes that work" or something like that. It's about 13 pages long? Throughout the 13 pages, many flyers have used this code (even if they're not on Continental) with no problems and no questions. Just like Priceless, I haven't heard of anyone yet who is a customer of Priceless and there's no request for documentation. If it makes you feel better, go to Continental's website, sign up for a free frequent flyer membership and take the card along. You can tell them that it was an email offer and your quote doesn't say you needed to bring proof so all you have is your flyer card. If you have Emerald Aisle, I can't imagine that they're even going to bother with you.

Thank you! It brought my 9 day reservation down from $134.88 to $120. so I changed my rese so that I can keep the car until 7:30pm instead of bringing it back that morning. However, it brought the rate back up to $138.04 (only 3.16 more than my previous rese).

I've gradually been adding time to my reservation so I now have the car for all by 2 days at the beginning of our trip. I've also brought the cost down from $200. to $138. THANKS EVERYONE!!!

Zulaya, I am a fflyer member of Continental. When I signed up for the Emerald Club they asked if I wanted fflyer miles or rental car credits whenever I rented cars with them. I chose the fflyer miles but it costs me an additional $.50 per day to get the fflyer miles.

If you don't ask for fflyer miles I don't think there will be an additional cost. I'm not sure if they will ask to see your fflyer card if you're not asking for the miles.

Hope this helps.

Bump

Looking to see if anyone has successfully used this Continental contract ID?

My reservation went down $9.27. I wonder why this code isn't listed on Mousesavers. Mary usually has everything. She has 5007160 listed as Continental's FF contract code.

Thanks for the info!

Mine went down $11. My base rate stayed the same but the discount is 20% vs Priceless' 10%. Since the 9.8% concession fee is based on the after discounts subtotal, I came out ahead since I have an 11 day rental. Shorter or less costly rental probably won't gai any advantage.

I sent Mary an email yesterday. I will let you all know what I find out.

I did to to Continental's web site and it was super easy to sign up for the FF acct.

Ok.

I just made a ressie under this code, but I kept my one with the Priceless code. The email I got says the Company Association is CONTINENTAL COOL. Are we sure this is from Continental airlines?

Can someone post as to the source of the code? Is it an Continental special or where it came from?

I am a member fo Continental's FF club, so I am fine there, but what else could be needed?

Duds, I did the same as you - I made a new reservation but kept my old one till we get more info on it. Mine also says "Continental Cool". And funny thing . . . I e-mailed Mary also before reading that you had!

When you join Continentals FF program, do you get some kind of membership card we may have to show at the check out booth?
