Did some of the Oliver And Company Dodger plushies originally have poseable paws?

I read in my Disney collectors books that when Oliver And Company was rereleased on video the very first Dodger plushies that Disney released had poseable paws but when they released the second set of Dodger plushies did not have posable paws and I was wondering why they quit putting posable paws on the Dodger plushies? Could it have been a safety hazard for children? And are these Dodger plushies rare today?

I think when it comes to Disney merchandise I think Oliver And Company deserves more promotion and when I read about the original Dodger plushies I think Disney discontinued the versions with poseable paws because it was a safety concern because I think kids would've gotten hurt or injured from the wire inside the Dodger plushies paws when they hugged him and this led Disney to no longer make the plush animal characters have poseable wire. I wonder if that's why plush Dodgers are rare to find nowadays?
