“The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” Opening May 27, 2025 at DHS

Here again right now. This is a free day for us with no plans so decided to rope drop MMRR and check on Mermaid. Got off the ride, headed next door and we were let into the queue at 8:52, basically at the front of the line. Before we headed to MMRR asked about the first Mermaid show and were told it would be some time after 9, no exact ETA—CMs were not even told. If the show is a priority for you I would highly recommend this strategy if you have a couple of opportunities to rope drop HS or you are using LLs (so rope dropping the heavy hitter rides isn’t really necessary; Mermaid still doesn’t have it active btw) . We have consistently seen triple digit waits for this since the Tuesday debut.

I wanted to see the newVillains show twice yesterday.
The Mermaid Adventure …once was enough .
I preferred the original old version , kinda…but still enjoyable!

We were at HS both Tues and Wed 5/27 & 5/28. On Tues, for LM the app showed up to 110 min wait, but was down to 60 around 3:00 pm. We headed to Villains and even though the line seemed long, we waited one cycle and were in the next show. Villains was excellent. Wed. we're back and around noonish were walking past LM, line seemed short, I asked the CM the wait time and she said whoever was in line then would get into the next show. We were on our way to TSL, so came back after, maybe an hour later and got in line. Waited 1 cycle and were in the theater for the next show. Wasn't long at all. I think they are overinflating the wait times on the app because app showed 60 min. YMMV
I agree about sitting back further, we were second row and yes screen can be distracting.

We saw the Little Mermaid show yesterday (waited about 45 mins.) - It was ok...again cute enough, but not something we'll ever wait very long for. In the beginning with the sisters; the screen seemed pretty blurry...almost like you were supposed to have 3d glasses for it? Idk; the ppl. next to us mentioned it too, so not sure what that was about. Ariel "swimming" was cute though.

I think people expected this new The Little Mermaid A Musical Adventure to be a new version of Voyage Of The Little Mermaid but when I saw it on Youtube last week I can say this show is a horse of a different color because you can tell they put a lot of money into development and creating it. But why they used CGI characters of Sebastian and King Triton instead of having a character actor play King Triton and having an actual Sebastian character instead of the CGI Sebastian would've been better. I think this show was mainly created to cash in on the popularity of The Little Mermaid movies and as I mentioned in my previous post trying to get new generations of fans to introduce them to The Little Mermaid. But I think it will have a very short-lived life because people who were fans of Voyage Of The Little Mermaid will be disappointed with this show

I'm a huge fan of The Little Mermaid and I think the show is very cute. I wouldn't wait 60-70 min again to see the show, but if it drops to under 30 min then I'll definitely wait.

As usual, Disney stuff looks better in person. Don't base your opinion from what you see on YouTube.
