Hmm the tax thing DOES matter to someone like me.... I'm on a tight budget and shouldn't even be considering this but with a free hotel room.... we wouldn't even go to the park every day to keep costs down.

However if I get slammed owing $800 at the end of the year, I'm in trouble!

Where is the best page on the site to be "waiting"? The main hotel search page, or on the page that has the search results (and actually shows the rates) and then keep hitting refresh?

Thanks!

kristi
u have to have been in here allllllllllllllllllllllllllllll nite to see numbers, and pink elephants,,,,,,lol JK kristi

Kristi,

You're still here?! I blame YOU for my current addiction! ;)

Must ...not ...leave... the... computer... :rotfl2: (I did, however, take time to WO.)

Has anyone actually done this, and got the room for $1/night? I know on the first thread there was the Original poster who did, but anyone else?

Hope this helps!

I haven't even had time to post on this thread. Between refreshing the LMT page and this thread page every minute, I have no free time to type anything.

Here's a quick hi and good luck to everyone today!:thumbsup2

Ok, I guess I missed something.
Where do you see those four digit numbers that correspond to the hotels? :confused3

In the url, it's the siteID. On the results page, if you hover over the "more info" link under the hotel description, you can see the URL in your status bar at the bottom or your browser (usually).

Hi y'all! I have been lurking here for a few days, and first off, I want to thank everyone who is giving out all the tips/hints for the rest of us. You guys are great.

I had a thought, though. Since we are keeping track of this chat site, and waiting for them to type in "GO!!"...Isn't that going to be too late? I mean, if I were trying to get a room, I would get the room first, then let others know since time is so precious. What do you think? I mean they would be crazy to post "go" before they got a room, wouldn't they?

Just thinking..that can be a dangerous thing for me.

Anyway, thanks for all you guys are doing...Good luck to all of us!!

thanks for the link to the chat room- I opened it and it helps put my mind at ease a bit that I won't miss anything.

I wish the tax thing was clearer. If it was hotel tax- no worries. But if it were 33% of $3000 that I would owe at tax time (based on hotel I am looking at), I would not be a happy camper, since this is purely a fluff thing I am doing. ( adding days to a trip already planned and budgeted for)

OK...I've decided if Donna from DVC calls and says she has my dates, I'm gonna rent points from her...hubby on way home and was doing my makeup...was thinking if this thing goes off, I'm gonna have one eyebrow done and one not:rotfl2: =she probably can't get my dates----this weekend!!:lmao:
