I got my vinyl-cut graphics from AuburnJen mounted up today, just in time for tomorrow's departure and think they look great. Thought I might share a couple of snaps:

That white one was a real trick... there is no clear backing material there, all the white is cut out of a vinyl sheet so all those little bits are islands. It makes for a VERY clean looking final result, but the application takes some patience. Thanks so much Jen, these really 'class-up' my rig! I will post my results with the water transfer decals soon.

Sweet! I'm thinkin' one of the color Musket Mickey's would fit in very nicely with the "wilderness" graphics on our Kodiak hybrid! :thumbsup2

Just wanted to post the pic of the great decal MotoFamily did for me for my friend's golf cart of the logo I designed for their farm. It came out great!

Those look awesome!! That's what I need to get for the 5th wheel and golf cart.

I would like to purchase one also for the golf cart and travel trailer . Where do we get them?

I just recieved these photos in the mail. They look really, really good. Im definately going to order one of each.
. . .

If you're interested...send a PM to "motofamily".

Its funny.....you can get good quality Disney merchandise from anywhere EXCEPT Disney!!!:rotfl:

motofamily......I meant to send you a PM...but I think it went as email instead, and i know alot of folks dont use their real email when registering with DIS.

anyway....can your equipment create something like this....I know the flames are terrible, but I put this together just to give you a general idea of what im looking for. I'd need it about 18" tall, maybe 5 or 6 foot long? Is this even possible?

Shoot me an email at bigdaddyrog@charter.net if it IS do-able...Im not real sure about the length, I may want to it shorter than 5 foot.Right now I just need to know if its even possible to get something like this done. Thanks!!

Moto and Rog, if you can do it that size let me know and I'll redraw it in Illustrator so the output will be nice and crisp.

Thanks Shan....Id REALLY appreciate that. I'll let you know if he contacts me.

E-mail sent and yes we can!

Gina just informed me that she aint crazy about the lime green flames!!! So the pop-up has a sort of teal green lining on the bottom of the tent part...so Im assuming THAT color could be substituted for the limegreen, maybe with a lime green outline, like this:

Shan, have you checked your PMs? Again, thanks for offering to help with this project.

Motofamily....THANK YOU for helping this idea come to life!!!

I'll check PMs momentarily. Been a busy day. May take me a couple of days to get'er done, but we'll get'er!

:santa:

Im in no rush...you take all the time you need. Whenever you get around to it and are completely done...wait a full day before you send me the file.....my best ideas always come to me the day AFTER I release a file to someone!! :)

Rog, what you need to do is paint the p-up's sidewalls black, then the lime flames will look good... and it'll match your cart and truck! I just re-painted my moho grill and headlight frames black using a specialty spray paint called Hammered Metal in metallic black (by Krylon, I think). Anyway, the lightly textured finish hides the fact that it's spray paint and it looks GREAT... I mean FACTORY PERFECT. You may want to look into it. Definitely something you'd want to decide on before buying a big graphic like this!

:santa:

EDIT: no, it's Rust-o-leum. Check it. I got mine at Lowe's but I think WalMart has it too, and probably cheaper. If you do it, buy a BUNCH of cans so you don't run out midway and can keep a wet edge as you work (making the whole side seamless), and then just return the extras.

Moto, would this be an all-vinyl-cut graphic or a printed-on-vinyl graphic? I need to know if I can do shadows and gradients (printed) or just flat colors (vinyl-cut).

Thanks

Shan, here's a quote from one of our email exchanges....
The way I am figuring on making this is a printed decal contour cut around the image to make for easy instalation

So Im assuming that means it will be much like the FtW decals at the very begining of this thread.

I have given ALOT of thought to painting the pup black....and I do mean ALOT!!!!! But Im scared that it would make the inside of the camper be much hotter because of the heat absorbtion. So, I have a feeling I MAY need to paint it after I remove the existing decals because Im sure I wont be able to wash the sidewalls and get them as white as whats under the current decals.....but Im pretty sure Im going to leave it white for heat reflection.

Plus,Im not sure the decal could be printed on black vinyl...motofamily...if youre reading this...is that a possibility? Could the white parts of the decal be printed black so that no white shows up on the decal?

This very idea was just brought up on the community board...I really WOULD LIKE to paint it black. I have a Wagner sprayer and a large garage...I could make it look pretty darn good. Hmmmm.....help me out here...what should I do?

IMPO, I would think that doing a layered vinyl cut would be very labor intensive and require someone applying it with great experience....go with the printed version Rog

My cutter is only for layered vinyl, so I have no idea if theirs will print on black, but barring the white, I don't see why it wouldn't....
