New Englanders

NHpooh:

I bought my place in Sept of 04 as a place for DS to stay while he is in school. I chose Deltona because of it's proximity to both Daytona and WDW. I'm near Saxon Blvd and Providence Blvd. I visit every 4-8 weeks ( to protect my investment :) )and can't wait until it's time to move there permanently. I just love the area.

I will be moving there (or maybe something a little larger, but still in Deltona) in about 3 years.

Too bad for them, they don't know what they are missing. Where in Carver are your parents? I'm in North Carver.

Hi guys, sorry I missed this till now. I haven't been on the plannng boards much yet, but am revving up now!

OK - two things I learned while reading all 13 pages:

#1 - We need to have a Western MA meet out at Tanglewood for the Jazz Fest or for Movie Night!!! Yes everyone, I am

born and raised in Pittsfield  Hi to nocnurse! and everyone else from Western MA, although I have to lead into #2 now

#2 - If you are NOT from somewhere delineated by the Berkshire mountains, you are NOT, and I repeat NOT from Western MA - us people right up on the NY boarder take this western mass thing seriously!!!!

OK - now to get serious:

I now live in Worcester, MA ( to rdsx28, 7Beasley, Jovidan, klwdisney, and last but certainly not least, my good friend goofy4tink!)

We are traveling in late April 2006 for a DCL cruise - 7 day Eastern
We just recently bookd one night into WDW prior to the cruise.

We will be flying down on SWA (most likely) out of PVD (TF Green)

TTFN all you New Englanders!!!

:wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2:
I think what seperates Western Mass from the rest is that "lovely" drive over Blandford Mountain on the Pike. :rotfl:

Tanglewood is maybe 10 -15 minutes up the road from me.

from central MA, soon to be western MA
going Nov. 22-28
SW air out of Hartford

CUTE new pups!! :dog2: :dog: :pug: :paw:

:sunny: cranbiz, our friends live on Syliva dr. That's between Saxon and Elkcam blvd. It's just off of N.Normandy Blvd. They moved there from up here in July of 04.

They are in South Carver. They are at Cranberry Village...the mobile home park. Yes...we are trailer trash. :rotfl: Actually it's a really nice trailer park and they've only been there 3 years.

We are flying song on the 8th too. We actually fly out of Boston on the first though. Maybe I'll see you on the plane ride home. Wouldn't that be a small world.

That is really just too funny...because I used to work in the deli. This world just keeps getting smaller and smaller! I know have to try to explain the whole..first that it is "Rhode Island's only real general store" and that Many stores claim to be general stores...but no one has the selection and variety that summit has ;)

This is very funny! I could have bought a sandwich from you - I always preferred the chicken or ham salad, but my family always got meatball grinders. I actually have to go there tonight - we need hummingbird food and everywhere else is sold out. Did you grow up in Western Coventry? I lived on Maple Valley Road growing up, and now DH and I live in Greene (he's from West Greenwich - we obviously don't stray too far from home :) )

Great to see more Mainers have logged into this thread !!!

Yea, I liked the chicken salad myself (I don't mean to brag....but I made some good chicken salad back in the day ;) ) I lived right on Victory Hwy, right down the hill from Maple Valley. It is so funny that I we were so close at one point. I am sure I have seen you at one time or another, and we never realized it. It just goes to show you that Disney does bring the world closer together! :earsboy:

Hi everyone! We're in Putney, VT and flying Song out of Boston 11/5 for our 11/5-11/12 vacation! My sister is also going with us and she's from Dover, NH! Wow! A lot of New Englanders here!

Lynn

Northern MA/Merrimack Valley Girl here!
Flying 9/8 out of Manchester...on a flight that has already been changed 3 times! I avoid Logan at all costs!

Ed from NH I was leaving on Jet Blue but because of the SW airfare sale now Im leaving out of Manchester. They lowered their airfare to $49 each way, Im still going Oct 21-29.

I know this question should probably be in the restaurant section, but I'm trying to get strictly NewEnglanders' opinions. How would you rate Mama Melrose? I've tried Italian food in other parts of the country and as many of you know what I mean it doesn't even compare to Providence or Boston Italian. I've been to Palio and it was excellent - even by "our" standards, but I really have no idea about Mama Melrose. I was thinking about the Fantasmic package and cannot get HBD and am not sure about H&V.
Thanks, all!

Driving from Mass. to Portsmouth, NH to take advantage of the Allegiant Air $39 flights. I'll be going to MVMCP for the first time, can't wait. Oh, and Newmom, we've only been to Mama Melrose's once, but had a great dinner there and thought it measured up to some places in the North End.
