New Englanders

My fiance and I will be at VWL 8/20-8/27! We always fly out of Providence on SWA!!! :love2:

Disney Ron & the future Mrs. Disney Ron

I live in central Maine (Waterville). Dh and I will be flying out of MHT 11/23-11/30 to celebrate Thanksgiving and our second anniversary at ASSports and the WL. We would rather fly out of either Portland or Bangor but can't beat the SWA fares and non-stop flights. :earsgirl:

I hear you on the Western Ma. thing- I live in Amherst, and was told by some Northampton residents that Amherst is NOT considered Western Ma. because it's on the " other" side of the CT. river  . Rima- where in the Pioneer valley are you? I would be up for A western Ma DIS meet :)
As a fellow citizen of Northampton, I can tell you...that's true!!
We fly down from Bradley on August 20th on SW. (Only 9 days!!)
I'd also be up for a meet in Western Mass (or Amherst):rotfl2:

kkar- off topic here- have you been following the Augusten Burroughs saga? I've read his books, and I always had a feeling the Dr. he was talking about was the one who's relative's are suing. I worked in Noho in the early 80's, and the dr. mentioned used to walk down Main St. every day with a large umbrella, usually with a santa hat on.

We are from the seacoast area in New Hampshire. We are flying Song airlines out of Boston on December 3 and returning December 11. The kids love having their own t.v.'s on the back of the seats. It makes the trip much more pleasant! I love the price. We booked early and paid $69 each for the flight down and $69 each for the flight back. I also love the fact that it's non-stop!

We're flying 9/23 out of Green as well...the early flight :sunny:
We aren't leaving until later. We were suppose to leave on Saturday but it was cheaper to leave Friday night and pay the extra night on POFQ than to take the more expensive flight on Saturday! :rotfl:

Hey, any extra Disney time is good!

Hello, i'm from just west of portland maine. we're flying out of logan 9/28- 10/7 on JetBlue. never tried them before but love the non-stop flight at an affordable price. we're planning on driving to portsmouth, nh, about 50 mins away, parking the vehicle in a free secured lot and bus directly to logan. bets driving to boston :earseek: and is cheaper than flying out of portland.
Ohhh, i'm soo excited!!

The league that we joined used to bowl in Woonsocket. I told my husband that if they move the league back there, we'll have to find another league at North Bowl. We've been bowling in Woonsocket all summer in a charity summer league..and the drive is just too much and I just don't like the lanes.

Glad you like it here. I haven't bowled in a few years. I used to bowl Tues. nights but DH doesn't get home in time to watch the kids anymore. Oh well maybe when they're older.

Where did you find out about the free lot in Portsmith? Is there a web site?

We bowl on Saturdays at 4:00...and we're looking for another teammate. We start again in 2 weeks.

I'm from Coventry, RI

Flying SW out of TF Green
9/15 - 9/21

I was pretty happy to get a Ding special - ended up paying $136 round trip.

I am from Coventry too! But I am from way out in Western Coventry! It is a small world. But like everyone said before Rhode Island is soo small we are bound to meet people that live nearby!

I'm way out in Western Coventry also (actually Greene). It is a small world! :wave2:

I'm always amazed how almost everyone in RI can be connected somehow. It's a funny state.

taheenee --- I live in the Portland area too but find that the $2 a day to park in the Concord Trailways lot in Portland is acceptable for us and the $39 round trip fare is great (Not sure if driving to Portsmouth to save $20 -well after you factor in the 50 mins of driving gas money might only be $15 is worth it really) just another option for you. Oh and there is a express bus about 4 or so times a day from Portland to Logan we are taking Concord trailways express bus on 9/28 at 11:30 arrive to Logan at 1:15 and then back on 10/2 at 11:15 to 1:55 (this isn't the express bus - it has a stop at south station) Michelle

NO WAY! I am from Greene!!!! That is crazy! It is funny because no one ever knows what I am talking about when I say I live in Coventry, but techically Greene. I used to work at The Summit General store....I miss that place, there is nothing like up here.

I was just thinking about how funny it was to "see" someone online who knows what I mean when I say I'm from Greene. I love Summit - although it's another thing that's hard to explain. What other store in RI is there where you can buy hay, livestock food, baby chicks, rent movies, and has it's own deli? I used to work at West Greenwich Animal Hospital - we got lunch at Summit every Friday.

That is really just too funny...because I used to work in the deli. This world just keeps getting smaller and smaller! I know have to try to explain the whole..first that it is "Rhode Island's only real general store" and that Many stores claim to be general stores...but no one has the selection and variety that summit has ;)

I must admit, I haven't been paying much attention to it. But I do remember seeing the guy with the santa hat in Noho.
