New Dreams Come True Dinner at Cinderella's Castle

I just booked the dinner for two adults (a belated Mother's Day dinner for me and my mom) for May 23rd.

The total being charged to my credit card is $96.34 and I was told the tax and gratuity is included.

DH and I are doing the dinner for the night of the 10th and I heard they do something really special for special occasions so I can't wait  The food sounds really good but I've always loved the Prime Rib at the Castle. And it will be nice to have a good pic of DH and I especially since we're trying to get nice and skinny before then :rotfl2:

I like the whole idea of wands and swords for the kids. That's really cute, but why oh why did they get rid of the white chocolate slipper on the dessert menu for dinner? That was one of our favorite things (pictured in my signature) :sad2:

Subscribing to this!! I would love to get ADR's before MNSSHP, my DD is going as Princess Aurora and DS is going as Prince Phillip, the sword and wand would go perfect!! And my DD would be seriously disappointed if she didn't get to eat in the castle!!

I can't wait to hear about the lunch and dinner. I would like to book this for my daughter when we go. She would love it. :wizard: princess:

Waiting to hear about the dinner, have it booked for May, seeing what others have to say about it.

I for one feel really bad about this. CRT was (IMHO) the ONLY place to go for dinner in the MK for a "normal'-nice dinner. Now--there is no place. :(

We were disappointed too. My dh and I were hoping to do dinner there for the castle experience. Not really interested now that it's a character meal and 2 table credits each. But I'm glad for all the kids who love the whole Cinderella experience.

Boy, I guess I've been asleep at these boards concerning the prepayment of CRT Dinner. Booked CRT dinner for 2/22 and thought my credit card was just being "held" for arrival. Was I surprised to see the charge on my bill yesterday for $158 and change (3 adults(one's 10)and/1kid! My fault in not understanding WDW dining that the charge was going through immediately, but why the prepayment instead of a creditcard hold? I sure hope this dinner is going to be good.......

also waiting for the dinner review
saw a full page write up on Disney and piece about the slipper dessert..........now what's up.........No slipper!!
Someone suggested on a wedding/honeymoon trip report that the slipper might be able to be specially ordered for $10........anyone know anything about this? :sad2:

I'm looking at the healthy alternative for breakfast - $32 for muesli and fruit? Yikes. Does anybody ever order that?

Read here that the slipper thing got discontinued from the menu after the free dining people ordered more of them than could be produced quickly enough. There's info on the boards somewhere about how to special order them.

There's also information about the fact that all CRT meals are now fully prepaid at the time of making the reservation.

Yep, it's gone off the menu. It was never suppose to be permanent. It can be specially ordered beforehand. I believe it's $12.50. You would call the main dining number and ask for CRT directly to order it.

Yes, the new policy starting Feb 1 is prepayment in full UNLESS you are on the dining plan. Then it would be a CC hold for no shows.

Just got back. Dined here Tuesday night. I was not impressed. The menu is limited- I believe only 3 appetizers 1 being a salad, other being a soup - cannot remember 3rd choice. Maybe 6 entree choices and only 3 dessert choices I believe. The food was good - just not fantastic. There are no wands or swords for dinner - the kids get limited edition lithos instead. The picture with Cindy was great too - we got two poses.

The "show" was only a few minutes and consisted of Fairy Godmother and Suzy and Perla flitting around the room - never really stopping and FG talked a bit - just ok in my book.
