Can't wait to send pics from the Dolphin!!!!

Debbie - thanks for the sinus med. tip - DH loves to complain about his ailment but doesn't love to do anything about it:crazy:
Sounds like you can relate::yes:: You have your self a great trip also!

Cathy - So looking forward to the Dolphin :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
Gotta find my list though...

Happy packing to everyone doing the single digit dance!!!!
:earsboy: :earsgirl:

HI everyone- it is a beautiful day here....perfect day to pack for my favorite place in the world!!!!

continued pixie dust for DF recovery....
and my thoughts are with you Mouseteacher as we are in the same boat, my DH is losing his job starting this June. It is stressful, I am working full time now ( yuck) but having faith that something better is coming. I will keep your family in my prayers, both for a new/better opportunity and the fortitude to get thru it in the meantime!

With the added financial stress this is bringing, I have actually started to consider my DH ideas of moving to FL to be closer to the mouse! Is this nuts or what? I feel though if we aren't going to be able to afford frequent trips down there, I might rather move closer! Can you imagine the looks/words people would give us? A thousand times worse than the "you are going there AGAIN?" "You are moving to be closer to THERE?" Too funny.

Mompoppins- your family is beautiful, thanks for sharing! Yhanks also for the grotto pool update- I really wish they would heat it more, it is a lovely pool, but way too cold. The other Disneyresort pools are heated to a much more comfortable temperature. I wonder if we can do anything about that???

Hockeymom- We are flying out the 13th also, but not back till the 20th!!!! My DD teacher is going to kill us, we are taking her out 2 more days, I am not even telling her why! She has gotten straight A's, so I am not concerned. So we will see you in the World!!!!!!! We are also the first flight out on the 13th!!!

Does anyone have suggestions for kids and airplane ear popping? My DD usually cries the last 1/2 hr of the flight because of the pain- we don't look forward to this part. We have tried gum, swallowing and even those "earplanes" nothing has worked so far.

Have a great day everyone

WOW!!! three of us S/D families with DH's without or losing jobs in the near future....Mouseteacher and disfanRN my thoughts are with your families also..... It is extremely stressful in my house considering ALL the other things we have been dealing with....

DH has been "sick for almost 7 days now... I beginning to think 75% of it is stress.....He's been on Antibiotics, but he hasn't bounced back....not sure what to do???

Love Ya Mean it.... Keep the faith..

To all of you leaving soon - have a wonderful time, relax and enjoy the magic!

DF - it is good to know that your strength is on its way back to "full!' As you know. my husband has been through numerous illnesses and it seems to take longer for some recoveries than others, but the power of positive thinking and some wonderful prayers can go far! I am also happy to hear that your father is on the road to a great recovery too.

Mouseteacher - you and your husband are in our thoughts and prayers. From one teacher to another, I can surely empathize. Please know that you have strong supporters here.

Where oh where is spring? We were tempted with a few warm days but just the mention of the word snow, yes the weatherman said it for tomorrow night, is a bummer!

Don't forget to set your clocks ahead tonight!

Have a great day. Caroline :teacher:

Cool Disfanrn! Look for the people you DIDN'T see last time, nor did we find you! LOL It will just be DH, DS and myself. DD is leaving Friday for Panama City. He's 6'3/blond/thin, I am 5'7 auburn/highlights, DH 10/5'3 looks like a hockey player. :) I type skinnier than I look.. LOL
Depending on the weather and whether I packed my jacket at check-in I'll have on a red leather jacket with a hockeymom pin done in rhinestones on it.

Caroline>> I am so glad you reminded me about daylight savings time! I keep on wanting to make it Holy Saturday instead of this week!

ZW>> Hope DH is on the mend soon. I am sure that the stress isn't helping any. P and PD to him and everyone there!

The only plane trick I have is to always make sure I have sinus meds with me. A cold pill if I don't have a cold dries you out too much, so the sinus headache pills seem to have just enough to make sure no one is stuffy at all. DH has had horrible ear problems in the past, both of my kids have been blessed with good ears. He thinks the sinus pills help a lot. I always take one a half hour before I board.

Happy Saturday!
Debbie

I still had dual reservations! I forgot I had Dolphin Club Level reserved for our Easter (wrong dates though) trip! We were due to arrive there on the 9th! I called the Dolphin directly, and wouldn't you know, it was five after seven. I hadn't looked at the clock at all. She said I would have to wait till tomorrow, and/or I needed to know how I reserved my room. I can't for the life of me remember which number I called! I kindly asked to speak to a manager and he was wonderful! Not a problem. Not only did he quickly cancel them, but asked if I really did want them for another date at the teacher rate. July 20-26th is set in stone! I do think I'll be doing a split stay, but I like to know that part of my trip is in place!

SOOO long story short.. I think I just ran into DF's great James. I do wish I would have remembered to ask for his name! He was wonderful, helpful, and very cordial. He sounded like a James!

Happy happy Saturday!
Debbie

home again.......

it was a great trip, as always :)

it was a nice change of pace this time, the conventions were sull of families this time. It was a different atmosphere, even the Dolphin employees noticed. The resort is in great shape--we were in the same room, Dolphin 3185. I can't put my finger on it, but something was different about the bed. It was very comfy, but I think one of the "heavenly" elements was missing....the featherbed, perhaps?

The CL was nice, too. I enjoyed chocolate croissants for everyone in the room ::yes::

we had no luck extending our stay and we couldn't extend our checkout, even by an hour :( that was unfortunate. we were having fun and wanted to stay another night at the Dolphin. Since it was unavailable, we went to Dixie Landings. We lucked into a fantastic room there....and boy, oh boy, did we have a great one nighter! My boys loved everything about that resort!

I've caught up on the thread I think--sending pixie dust and prayers to everyone that needs it! {{hugs}}

Happy travels to those of you leaving soon!

DF ~ Glad to hear from you again, keep resting and you will feel better in no time... your trips coming up really soon!

Madge ~ Welcome home :) How was the new club lounge? Did they move back to the 12th. floor before you left?

Mousteacher, ZW and DisfanRn ~ pixie dust and prayers still coming your way ****** I know its a stressful time for all of you...

Waving to the room

:wave2:

 :grouphug: :lovestruc You guys are THE BEST EVER!!! Thank you for your well-wishes and good thoughts. My P&PD go to my other sorority sisters who are in the boat with DH and me. I believe group prayers will work.

I am still hopeful we can go this summer. It will be cost effective if just DS and me are going. My DH will be disappointed but he is such a sweetheart he will sacrifice so that we can go.

This is Holy Week for my family and I will be in final preparation for the Convention coming to Boston next Monday. I can't believe it's here - we have been preparing for almost a year. I will be at the Sheraton for 4 nights - racking up points
-->hoping to use them this summer at the Dolphin! :sunny:

Now to get this counter working again. :)

How Ya'll?

I have been gone a LONG time!!!!!!!!!!

Scrolling back through the posts is something else so let's see...

Get well DF and fast! :) You have too much partying to do to stay that way much longer. :D

Good luck Mouseteacher ! I bet it all works out in the end given ya'll's good karma and being a bus prof I can say that this economic healing should help in the long run.. ;) A dusting and hope for brighter days ahead! :D

Zurge's Wife - hang in there - don't stop the ride just ride it out. :) I was dropped from platinum to gold - sucks! :(

crack pot is right, Glenn! Hopefully, no one even opted to give him $3.99! Glenn, thanks, too, for the encouragement from a business prof on the economic outlook. I am praying something comes his way sooner rather than later.

sarahsmom73~ Good for you - a balcony is awesome! We had a balcony at the Swan. I would post pics but it would be from the wrong resort! madge's pics are great and give you the "feel" of the balcony.

Cool Madge - we once stayed in the Jr suite to the right of your room. Just past the last balcony.
