New Disney Visa "Inspire" card

For the tickets it's a statement credit so should show on your transaction list like Chase offers would. Sometimes they put right above the purchase so you might have to scroll down to 2/5 when the ticket was purchased.

For the $2,000 Vacation Package/Cruise/Folio Charge the $200 is in Disney Dollars so it would appear in your Rewards Dollar balance but I don't believe it would show until the statement closes.

Just spent a few minutes poking around the Chase portal between calls. Some data that might be interesting to people here:
  • Confirming DVC Dues (I paid off my AUL 2026 dues) were 3%, hooray!
  • My Star Wars Nite purchases literally say "Disneyland Tickets" so I'm fairly confident they will qualify.
  • Getting 2% at local grocery store and Sbux
  • "Disney Packages" codes at 1%-- I'm 99% sure this is Disneyland Paris vacation package purchased through DLP app.
  • All rewards dollars currently show as "pending"
  • There are several "statement credits" listed under rewards, still trying to figure out which was earned from what... Chase says "congrats you earned a $300 credit by reaching your spend goal" but can't see anything else indicating what the other "statement credits" that show up under rewards (but not in my transactions lists) are related to or their value.
  • None of my 1-3% rewards earned have actually cleared yet, they all say pending.

The card only offers the $300 for new accounts so my assumption this is for spending $1,000+ to trigger it.

It has 2 other "Credits"
First one for Tickets after spending $200 get $100 which we hope your StarWars tickets will trigger
Second one is a monthly credit for Disney Streaming of $10

Remember you have to goin to your account and activate Disney+ for that $10 credit

Then technically not a credit but you can apply it to your bill with PYB, $200 in Disney Dollars after spending $2k on vacation packages, cruises and resort folio charges.

So DVC dues do earn 3%?! Awesome!

Are we assuming a new direct DVC contract can be placed on the card (probably in 3 installments because of credit limits) and earn 3%?
I just got the card and planning to get DVC next month!

Yes ALL U.S. Disney counts as 2% on the premier and 3% on the inspire.

We wait to Welcome you home!!

Maybe I missed it. Has anyone renewed their annual pass or Magic Key using the new card? If so, how was that coded? Is it 3% plus $100?

Not sure if we have any DP's yet for it but it should give you 3% of the entire cost in Disney Reward dollars and then 6-8 weeks (hopefully sooner) a $100 credit would post to your credit card account.

I have some rewards (not a big amount) on my regular Disney Visa. I just opened the Inspire Disney Visa. Can I have rewards redemption cards for both? Also, I'm planning to switch the regular Disney Visa to the no-annual-fee version, so will that mess up the rewards redemption card for the regular visa?

Yes you can have redemption cards for both but many would suggest not to even bother with the redemption card and as @CarolynFH stated use PYB instead.

It will have no effect on your current card as it tied to the account not the card type.

Thats great! Did I originally see that dues would not be at 3% or was it that the 200 credit that applies to $2000? Ive been "studying" the system and now cant remember all I took in! :)
Dues are a disney purchase so 3% earnings.

They will not count for the $2K spend in Vacation package/Cruise/Hotel Folio to receive $200 Disney Dollars

I have a zero balance, so PYB won't work, right? It would be my first time doing PYB so I'm not sure.

The easiest way to do that is just prepay a small amount of DVC dues. Then, let the statement close (to let the rewards from the dues payment be credited to your rewards balance) and redeem all the rewards as a PYB on the dues payment.

Not having a balance to pay when your account closes doesn't matter. Your statement will have a notation something like "Pay Yourself Back Eligible" next to any transaction that is eligible. You can click and apply any amount of your Rewards to that or any other eligible charge. It works as a credit against the charges you'll make during the current billing cycle and reduces the amount you have to pay during that cycle.

We did PYB for the first time in late January, after our Premiere card closed, and we applied those Rewards (which had been accumulating for a number of months) to a charge for Lightning Lanes that I bought in early December, during the previous cycle. Charges are eligible for PYB up to 90 days after being posted. And you don't have to apply the Rewards to the charge that earned them - you can apply all the Rewards you earned one month to something you charged in a different month.

Edited to add - you can even let your Rewards accumulate for a number of months before you apply them to a PYB transaction. I think the Rewards we applied to my LL purchase had been accumulating for 6 months or more.

Even with a $0 balance you can still do PYB as long as you have a qualifying transaction that is 90 days or less.
You would just pick that transaction and apply however many Disney Dollars to it and then a credit will appear.

You would then have a credit balance on your statement.
If you wished you could then ask Chase to send you a check for that amount or just charge and it will work the credit balance down.

Just remember if you have are attempting to wipe out your Rewards Dollar balance to factor in the 3% earnings rate.
So if you only have $1 left in Disney Dollars don't make a $1 dues payment but instead make a $1.03 or $1.04 dues purchase so that you would wind up with $1.03 in Rewards Dollars for example.

Yes Disney Dollars used to expire but a few years ago they made the change where they never expire so you could save and save if you really wanted to :)

sounds like the redemption card would be easier overall then. I don't have any charges on the regular Disney Visa card in the last 90 days. It didn't earn enough benefit for me to use it much. Which is why I'm happy to be moving to the Inspire. Thank you all for explaining the options!

I would do what @airjay75 suggested if you are closing the card completely.

Just prepay the $10 or so that you have saved up on dues and then wait for the statement to post and wipe it off.

You should have a new dues bill soon so you could certainly wait a little while and do this :)
