I was checking out Disney's new site yesterday for ticket prices and noticed there was no way to add a nonexpiring option for future tickets. The site asked me to sign on and update my profile. After I updated everything a long list of items popped up that needed to be read and agreed to (terms and conditions). Among them was a section on paperless tickets (RFID) and that only "certain" nonexpiring tickets will be allowed to be credited to your account and that there is a limit to how many tickets you can convert. Do you think Disney will no longer offer nonexpiring tickets? It worries me to think about buying nonexpiring tickets from a broker. Anyone else see this?

Disney has historically not changed "grandfathered" tickets. (Heck I have one from 10 years ago I used this year for one day LOL!) So I would not worry about buying what's on the market now. If the broker has it, Disney sold it to them and it should be fine.

So does this mean no more non expiring will be offered? One UC and ML are out of them that is it? We always buy 10 day non expiring and use over 3 trips. Thanks so much.

I'm not sure. Probably should call Disney on this one. I just found it odd they don't give the option anymore on the new website as well as the terms and conditions speaking of paperless tickets. I wish I had printed out what I had agreed to!

I think the question is how currently existing non-expiring tickets will work with fastpass+.

No clue. I posted a similar question yesterday. We were considering non-expiring tickets this year for our trip in November since this will be our first trip under 10 days.

I believe this is just a glitch due to all the work that they have been doing on the website.

I really doubt the non-expiration option has been eliminated.

Nope, they still offer non-expiring tickets. I just got off the phone with Disney. They said something must be wrong with their website. You had me freaking out there for a minute. We always do the 10 day non-expiring tickets!! That really would have changed our plans on how often we visit WDW.

Sorry, didn't mean to scare anyone! Thanks for calling Disney. Makes me feel a little better, for now...

Yes, their website is a bit wacky lately...

We are going to WDW for 5 days in Jan and are probably going to go for 5 days in Dec as well. I looked at 10 day non-expiring and it cost exactly the same as buying two separate 5 day passes...so what's the point of the non-expiring (besides price going up a little between now and Dec)? It used to save you money upfront.

wouldn't the PAP be a better deal if you are going twice within 12 months?

Yeah, it seems to come out that way if you need 5 or more days. But when you only need 2-3 days here and there, the 10 non expire is really much better.

Also you are locked in to a set price for a few years and not have to figure in annual price increases.

I think the non-expiring is more beneficial, too, when you have the waterparks and more option on it so you can spread those 10 days out, too.

Ya, we love the non-expiring tickets. My wife and I used our last theme park day that we had from our 1 year anniversary last year. Our 1 year anniversary was only 9 years ago:) We also have a few extra fun days that we can use.

Now that we are DVC members we will probably go more often but even then you get 20 days of disneyworld for $685 (undercover tourist) that comes out to just under $35 per visit. We usually get 4-5 trips out of each 10 day pass. Works great for us.

I love the no expire option, we have some of those left from a few years ago, great option for us, maybe not for Disney.

Just went on the Disney site and the non-expiring option is there. They must have fixed the problem.

So you're saying it was a "glitch" and that there's no permanent conspiracy about doing away with them entirely?

maybe putting the "no expire option" back on the website is a glitch? (or a cruel, mean-spirited trick?)

i totally think people can still panic if they want to...
