New disney site no more nonexpiring tickets

On our last trip(3 weeks ago) we re-upped and bought 2 10 day non-expire tickets and and agent who sold them to us did not mentioned any changes for the furture to get us to buy now verus waiting which is what I wanted to do until we got home....smjj

Just went on the Disney site and the non-expiring option is there.
I think it depends on whether you get the "new" site or the "old" site. WDW is rolling out a new web site, but has not released it to all clients yet. Some people are assigned to the new one, some to the old, more or less at random.

I'm on the new site, and at least for buying "just tickets", the no-expire option is not there (or, at least, I can't find it.) Could be an oversight. Could be just a simpler way to present ticket options. I doubt it's a change in policy, though. If it were, folks like Cheshire Figment would let us know.

I was online yesterday pricing out a trip on the new site and I did a live chat with a CM and was told you have to call to get the non expiring ticket option.

The 10 day non expiring tickets are much better than buying length of stay passes when you don't visit the parks every day of your trip. If my husband I are going for five nights, we might visit the parks on three days at most. For our kids and their friends we buy length of stay, because they will hit the parks everyday (or night).

Maybe the title of this thread should be updated so that people don't panic? :thumbsup2

the option is not on the new site and I was told that it was due to purchasing trends of guests online.

So yes you can buy the option if you call Tickets or buy them at the gate but not online.

One CM went on record to say that there is "no access" to the old site at all now. :)

the option is not on the new site and I was told that it was due to purchasing trends of guests online.

And yet, at least the other day, the website had labeled a building at Pop Centure (the one with Mowgli) as being at All Star Movies. If we're going by what the website shows and believing the CMs, that means that they've moved Mowgli?

I am not trusting ANYTHING the website shows right now. And I refuse to panic about what it might show or not show. If my VWL reservation appears and reappears, I refuse to think that the actual reservation is disappearing or appearing. It's there.

I see it like iPhoto (which I dislike). iPhoto is just the user interface for my photos. My photos are back deep in the computer, in proper looking files. iPhoto just makes 'em pretty. If I change the name of pictures in iPhoto, it does NOT change the files "in back".

All they are doing is messing with iPhoto, so to speak and in my opinion; they aren't messing with the stuff in the "back of the computer".

Ticket options could easily be one of those things.

Sure they could put it back, but the CM in chat online seemed pretty knowledgeable about it being gone.

There was no hesitation to answer questions about the option and had the phone number for Ticket Services.

So at the present time it is gone but available if you call or purchase at the gates.
