Sorry I have been absent for a hot min. Had our performance of the mousetrap last week and been a wild week since. Yay for those of us who got the drop on Wednesday, thanks to those who pointed out it is coming. AMEX week seems to be a real bummer for personal cards, business cards seem to have fared much better. I keep meaning to add a business AMEX to my wallet but the 10k+ spends for the bonus always kill me (but also maybe I am picky not wanting to use a credit hit for anything but a gold or plat). I may wait till December right before property taxes are due lol.

I’ve never done the PayPal thing with points…..I hope I did it right after I activated it. I hit the shop now that it had on there and Disney was listed there so I just click that because there was 2% back and went to the Disney site and bought a gift card there with PayPal.

I see that they give a 5% bonus for choosing a virtual visa prepaid card. would it be hard to use that to buy a Disney gift card from somewhere and get that 5% extra for doing so? Or is it just easier to get the DGC and call it a day.

They give a 4% bonus for the Disney gift card. So I normally just do that. I don’t use virtual visas so can’t speak to those.

Went ahead and grabbed the Disney GC. Best part was is this is the cashback I received from the Giftcards.com DGC promo from a few months ago! Didn't think TCB would pay out but they actually did so I'm happy with that.

I'm happy with the current Target bonanza. The 2026 DVC Member Cruise had to be paid off up front when booking yesterday, so there went $7.1K. Glad we had it in DGCs, effective cost was $5.9K after savings thanks in big part to this thread. Time to rebuild the stash, thanks Target!

You still need spending money right? And those DVC dues and AP renewals pop up like a bad penny EVERY year. Ask me how I know.
