I don't think there are any differences in change penalties etc. If you book online you can only make changes via the phone at that point. Online you have to look closely and make sure you are applying the discounts etc. Access the discounts through the special offers link -- they won't automatically give you the lowest price. Look at all options carefully like room type, vacation insurance, etc. All but vacation insurance can be changed later if more than 45 days out though.

Thanks for the info. I am at work and I held for Disney Travel for 30 minutes and had to give up. I just booked online. I will now have to book a room only reservation for our first night because the promo didn't start until the day after we arrive. Still, I am saving about $1,300!

After 2 hours of holding, I finally got through. Re-booked our BC ressie at 40%off! FYI...when I tried to rebook online, it was coming up at the same price I had already booked at not the discounted price. Now, I can head out and buy groceries.

Glad you got it! When booking online you have to be sure to go through the special offers link. Putting in a request on the front page wont trigger any of those.

On hold for 1 hour and 20 minutes this morning, but it was well worth it. 35% off room only ressie at CBR for 6 nights....saved almost $300!! Not going to complain about it not being for Florida resident or AP holder rate only....works for me! When the balance due goes from over $800 to $500, gotta love it.

Going Oct 22-29 to do some househunting. Waited an hour and fifteen on the phone this AM so I booked online with the new discount and just called now to cancel the old ressies. Waited about ten minutes with a very helpful and cheery CM.
Old ressies: WL Std (2 days rack rate) and WL Woods view (5 days Monster PIN). New Ressies is WL 7 days Courtyard view (No std available). 40% discount. Saved $171.00. We were hoping to do a little better by getting a std. room but satisfied that we upgraded view and saved a few dollars in the process.

Standards for WL just never were out there (for a 40% PIN we had or AP) when we went this past Feb. (I tried from the day we got the pin in Nov and every day for the 45% AP rate dis.) Hope you get one but by my experience they just were not in the mix.

I added the discount to an existing reservation over the phone. I called at 9:24 and was on the phone for 46 minutes total (including all the enter this, enter that stuff). I got my e-mail with the changes at 11:30....

I was booked at Ft. Wilderness for 11/9 - 11/16 in the cabins. My initial cost was $2559.41 and with AAA it came down to $2175.53.
With the new discounts today, I called, waited 13 minutes and they changed it for me. With new discount, my new total is $1791.58 so it is a total savings of $767.83.
We already have tickets so I did not want free dining. That savings will buy a lot of food for us. Very excited....

I got mine about 3 hours after getting off the phone. I was starting to wonder too.

I wonder if the online booking confirms are taking even longer. I do have the printout from the end of the booking process and later on I was able to get back into the site and pull up the reservation -- it's just always reassuring to get that email.

I am so excited. We are going Nov 6-13. Have never received a pin and was blacked out for free dining. But finally received 30 percent off mod. Wonderful Cm named Cole applied it to my existing reservations. We only saved $408.28, but I don't care its something. I finally feel loved by the mouse.
