New DING has arrived

Can you only use it if you personall have been ding'd? I'm trying to plan a surprise trip for DH in Feb. Would like to find a cheap fare from Pittsburgh

Ding is a program that runs on your computer from Southwest. It notifies you thru the day when there are specials running. You can only get the DING rate by booking thru this program.

For example :
Nashville to Orlando normal fare thru their website was 134.00 per person each way.
Thru customer service was 167.00 per person each way.
Ding fare we booked was for 39.00 per person each way.


To get the fare, you wait until you get a notification - an envelope will appear over the tail fin icon in your system tray on the bottom right corner. Click on it, it will open the DING window. Click on the Ding described in the window and it will open a browser and take you to the ding area.
