Just an FYI - just booked through CRO and CM mentioned there is now only a 7 day courtesy hold instead of 14 days.....

still 45 days. This is great though, think how many times people called and rooms werent available because someone had a 14 day hold that never even intended to book it. 7 day holds will free up a lot of availability

The AAA TA told me the same thing. She said that I have to pay the deposit within 7 days. I wonder why Disney made the change.

I really never realized that there was such a thing. Each time I have made a reservation they have always asked for my credit card number. I guess I just assumed you had to pay the one day deposit or the $200 (for packages) at the time. I think it will free up some rooms especially if they are the rooms set aside for AP, Disney Visa, AAA etc. It's a good thing.

Yup, I was just informed of this when I booked last night. I was a bit surprised, but it does make sense. I thought 14 days was generous - beach reservations have always been 7 days, no more (unless of a big emergency).
