Have you looked at the artist renderings of the finished product?
It is many months away from completion and re-planting.

Yet so much better than Epcot's "graveyard" entrance...

It is a big change for sure, just like when all the trees were removed. Loved those twinkling lights.

Hopeful it is a good look once completed, but so necessary for how many more people are there these days and the crowding it creates around the Hub especially.

I always thought Epcot's entrance looked like a WWII battlefield covered in tank traps.

The artist renderings of the new hub area look pretty nice to me. I think the shrubs / flowers / trees are going to make or break the look.

Anyone know if the box is still covering the partners statue?

It was as of an hour ago. Part of the hub has the walls down now (in front of Casey's Corner and the fountain was working. I think it looks nice. And it sure seemed to ease congestion in the hub ahead of the afternoon parade. Of course, main street congestion doesn't change if the backstage bypass isn't open.
