AGAIN HIGHLY DISGUSTED...MAKING SUCH BROAD COMMENTS IN 2008 ARE SO SILLY...IM A PROUD MEMBER OF THE HIP HOP GENERATION...YOU DONT LIKE ME THEN SORRY FOR YOU...

My demographic is African American male early 50's. We love Disney World. Disney World is the best marketing plan for DVC. After going to Orlando for 7 years, we finally joined DVC early in 2008. We love it. I know Steve Harvey. I occasionally watch reruns of his TV show. I like Steve Harvey. But I love Disney World and DVC.
?! Leaving now.It is considered terribly rude to type in all caps. I couldn't read what you said, because it is impossible to read.AGAIN HIGHLY DISGUSTED...MAKING SUCH BROAD COMMENTS IN 2008 ARE SO SILLY...IM A PROUD MEMBER OF THE HIP HOP GENERATION...YOU DONT LIKE ME THEN SORRY FOR YOU...U SEEM TO BE WASTING A LOT OF ENERGY...STEREOTYPES ARE SO 1960S...BIGGER THAN THAT I COULD POSSIBLY BE YOUR CHILDS TEACHER...YES A HIP HOP LOVER CAN BE EDUCATED...YOUR CHILDS TEACHER... I figure it's one of two things
1. It will go on sale for $140 with a limited time incentive of $20 to $30 off. And all of you screaming hysterially about "NO" will RACE to beat the clock and buy LOL!
2. It's NOT going to be the DVC we currently have. It's going to be an "upscale" product to compete with the Four Seasons and will not be part of the regular DVC. You might be able to "trade" in, but it won't be the same 11/7 deal we have now.
We will see....
not even sure if i'd bother adding on @ another resort if it does happen...bit of a sour taste kwim?
Steve Harvey is Black, Jim Lewis is Black, they are friends...
Who cares!!!

Couple that with the fact that the African American demographic is relatively small with more modest financial resources, and I don't see what is gained by this marketing effort.
WOW! Is that really the "Disney Magic" ? "You don't look like me so Disney shouldn't waste time selling to you?"

Currently, top 1% of income earners pay a 39% of all income tax paid. The top 25% of income earners pay an 86% share, and the top 50% of all income tax earners pay 97% of all income taxes.
If anything is true about current U.S. income tax policy, it is the opposite of what you suggest. Those that don't pay significant income taxes outnumber (and presumably vote) for taxes and spending paid for by the "rich".

I don't know if you are just plain uninformed or rude? Apparently Disney should only market to white folks???![]()
And I find your assumption on income just rude! I know LOTS of poor white folks LOL! Disney mails them things all the time.
. Of course there are many African Americans who make significantly more than the average, and plenty of whites who make less, but on average blacks make 35% less than whites. This, when coupled by the fact that blacks make up only 12% of the wage earning population, is significant when deciding who to market to from a business perspective, politically correct or not. Of course a business is going to try to get as much as it can from every demographic, but believe me, those kind of demographic statistics play a part in where a company decides to put its marketing dollars.
