New AP Rates Are Out

FW Cabins

Usually rates are $299-$314 for that time frame. I am getting $203-$186.

That new quoted figure did not include insurance according to the CM - so any help you give me would be very much appreciated.

What are your exact dates? Do you have 6 weekday nights, and 2 weekend nights?

I just received my email confirmation and Pop actually ended up being $74 for weekday and $84 for weekend. Still works for me!

I just got POP $74 Weekday and $84 Weekend for May 8th-May 12th!:yay:
Mother's Day Weekend Gift to Myself!

Woo Hoo! My Dreams Unlimited rep is an absolute angel! Being in the UK, with the time difference im always at work whenever any rates are released, so this year i went through dreams unlimited and my agent managed to get me the AP rate for both rooms - 14 nights at the POR!

That saved us $1134!!

I'm using Dreams Unlimited also. Cathy is sure on the ball. I wasn't even watching for the AP rate. (thought it was tomorrow) Cathy emailed me around 10 am to say that I got the AP rate applied to my Pop stay. (just wish it was for past the 21st)

We're going May 19th-25th. So we got 3 nights at $74. Every little bit helps.

OK. . . .breathe! I knew this was a possibility, so I shall be a big girl, bite the bullet and let it goooooooooooooooo. No discount for my Poly reservation Ap 12-16 available. It's only money, right? This will be a trip my son will remember always. He has never stayed at the Poly before and he will have a MK view. OK, I feel better.

It's now available online through the passholder website. Actually the website has totally changed....you'll see.

Are you talking about my post? You mean there are Poly discounts for ap 12-16th????

No just that you can now go to the website to check. This is great. I was just there and you can add the regular DDP or the Delux DDP, you can add wine and dine. And if you choose the dining plan(s) it turns your room only discount into a package and it requires a $200 deposit, plus it is adding insurance that you need to remove if you don't want it.

Aaah! So Disney is being so generous to allow AP holders to use the DP now? Roping AP holders into packages also means trapping them into the extremely restrictive cancellation terms as opposed to the 5 days required for hotel-only reservations.

Sorry! The cynic in me just came out!

I find what I'm seeing on the AP site very interesting. When I plugged in my dates and the AKL, it gives me a quote for standard view and pool view, $164 and $174 respectively - but only for weekdays! Over the weekend days, it ups the rate by $50, to $214 and $224 respectively.

However, if I look under the "alternate offers", there is another AKL quote listed there - for cheaper! When I click on that, it shows just a standard room available, but for all nights at the $164/night (which is what I held this morning). I tried a couple of other resorts, and also had this happen with the BC and BWI, but some other resorts just showed the differing weekday/weekend discounts.

Then, when I tried to add dining (just to see the quote, I'm not even interested), no matter what I tried with the lowest AKL quote, it kept kicking me to the higher weekday/weekend rates. It makes me wonder if only certain AP discounts are available as "room only", while maybe higher rates are being charged if you add dining.

All in all, it's very odd - and quite sneaky IMO. This will be interesting. popcorn::

Anyone else noticing this?

So the AP discounts on the FW Cabins aren't really discounts? I was happy that we got our dates today, but it sounds like that isn't as special a discount as others.

Thanks for this thread! I've been waiting for the new rates forever it seems!

No the AP discounts for the cabins are great (in my opinion). :cool1:

Usually they run $299-$314 during this time frame (weekday/weekend)

AP discount I got $186-$203. So weeknights were $113 off and $111 off weekend.

What I was trying to figure out is why the dining plan was discounted. It should have been an additional $13xx and it was only an additional $11xx.
For dining we have 4 disney adults & 2 disney kids. It seems that that was discounted about 15% off for the dining.

Has anyone heard if there are Poly discounts for May? I was on phone with great CM, she saw none. She checked with her manager who said Poly was included in AP rates, so either rooms are already gone, or the rooms have not been made available yet.

I was able to modify my ressie at the GF RPC with an AP rate for May 10-16.

BUT nothing was available for my first three nights May 7-9 at the Poly LVC!
I was kind of bummed about that but I still have my AAA rate. It looks like the Poly discounts are hard to come by for May right now. I'll continue to call back because you never know.

Has anyone gotten AP rate for the CR magic kingdom view from May 13-16?

Thanks
Jennifer

If you don't mind my asking, what rate did you get for GF RPC?

There are discounts for the Polynesian, for May. This morning my Travel Agent got the discount on the 2 rooms for our family (a lagoon concierge and a garden concierge), and out of curiosity I just looked on the Disney AP site and there is still availability. Our dates are May 18 - 22 (we're there till the 23rd but the last night of our stay is NOT at the AP discount rate).

I hope everyone is able to get a discount!!

Just reporting in. I called and got a new quote and I ended up saving $650!! Ok here are the details:

Original package:
4/25-5/3 YC Standard Room
Deluxe Dining for 2 Adults + 1 Child
7 Day base tickets for 2A+1C

New Package:
Same dates Beach Club Standard Room
Same Dining Plan
Purchased seperately 1 Adult Annual Pass, 1 Adult 7 day PH Pass and 1 Child 7 day PH pass.

So the new arrangement purchasing the tickets on a separate transaction today (non-refundable), I still come out saving $650!!! Plus we have an annual pass!!

So even though a GP discount may come out in a couple weeks, I have no regrets as I already have a discount locked in.

We probably won't even go back again in the next year, but it is still worth the $$$ saved.

I used the code ANA.

Good luck everyone!!

Kate
