Hi Everybody! I haven't been on the Disboards since last year, when we went to the Wilderness Lodge. It was the absolute best! We can't wait to go back again. Hopefully, next year. Seems like a long time, but planning and talking about it with others is exciting. Anybody here going next spring? I can't say enough about the lodge It was our first time there. We stayed at the All Star several times and offsite, but now that we've experienced the lodge, nothing else will do!

I wish we were there now. This is the first time that I marked excellant on most every question. I really didn't have anything negative to say.

Maybe I should have asked them how I could get down there more often.

This will be our first stay at WL, we have visited many times, but
always stayed at other Disney resorts. It's just me and my DH. we are booked in a courtyard room. Could someone suggest a room number for us. We would like a King Bed, with a nice view so we are able to see the EWP from our balcony. Anyone recently
return that can comment on bus transportation, we will not be
renting a car this time. Thanks So Much.

We had a courtyard view when we were there and I think all the courtyard views are great. I don't know exactly where the courtyard view rooms end and the woods view begin in regards to room numbers. But the lodge is soooo great!!! Take lots of pictures b/c when you get back home, you can look at the pictures and imagine being at the lodge. I swear, I could live there!

DH just graduated! WL here we come. We are going to stay at WL for the first time. WOOHOO!!! We are so excited! This will be a celebration for DH as Saturday was his last day of school. Working full time, being 41, raising 3 children and taking care of his wife and accomplishing college in addition to all that I am pretty proud! We will also be celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary on Saturday by having breakfast at Cindy's castle. That will be our first time eating there too. Just had to share our excitement with ya'll and check out our trip counter.

Ratpack! Just finished reading Day 1 of your trip report... Looks like you were there the same time we were! Here's a link to my trip reports... Shortcut to DISBUG's GRAND ADVENTURE I started at the S/D FAQ thread and moved over to the Trip Reports Forum. Did you know you were staying right by my house!! In Jacksonville, FL we live right off J Turner Butler BLVD! We go to that Cracker Barrel about once a month for dinner! (So sorry for the treatment you received from that first hotel.. shameful!)

Kimmar! Glad to know about "Hugh" now.... thought he was a cutie, but didn't want to pry! (I am assuming he is a "soap" star?) LOL!

I am am so excited about this trip, I feel like I am going to be sick!

I was up until 1am trying to clean the house and finish everything, not a good idea when you have to wake up at 6am for work!!

Getting SOOOO excited! Am just dumbfounded that we are less than 2 weeks away!! Can't believe the magic is so close!

Some questions (I always have some!)- celebrating 10th anniversary and DH's birthday during our trip. Should I mention it at check-in or call ahead to mention? I'll note it when I fax room request - which brings me to next question. Is it 3 days or 4 days ahead that you are supposed to fax? Should I mention it at Whisp. Canyon (even though we are not dining on the actual day of our event(s)?
Ratpack - saw in your trip report that you had a standard view and still managed to see castle and otter pond - wow! We, too, are requesting standard w/ bunks. Was this over the service/truck area? Is the 6th floor smoking or non? Thanks!
Majestic - so you're from central nj?! We're in Mercer county - whearabouts are you? Tried the chat room but didn't have something or other I needed to download? I'm clueless about that stuff!

NJFabFour, yes we wer over the docks. Ask for room 6060, that is the room we had.

What room to request, thanks to you. Saw your posts on Room 6060 and decided to check out the trip report (reading the whole report another time)... But saw that 6060 is a standard room that overlooks the otter pond, you can see the castle, and has bunk beds?!? I'm sure it says somewhere, in your previous posts or your trip report, but where in the Lodge is this room? Either I'm laszy or I want to see my countdown timer again!!!

Mary,
Room 6060 is in the North Wing right over the delivery docks. If you take the elevator from the lobby up to the 6th floor, go all the way as far as you can towards the North side, make the right hand turn and it is I think the third or fourth room on the left. It is directly in front of the castle and the otter pond is off to the right. Fireworks are great from the Balcony.
