Hi Fred,
Yes, sorry I haven't written, we print items for high school football and this is my crazy time. Anyway, we had a wonderful time. It was hot, but we took it slow and she had a blast. She loved the fireworks probably most of all, she called them boom boom and held her hand in the air!! It was awesome. She liked It's A Small World, Winnie the Pooh, & Peter Pan. By the end of the week, I had her sitting by herself on the seat next to me and she held on tight. She acted all grown up!!!!
The best part of the week was when we were at Toon Town and she walked 3 unaided steps to Chip and Dale!!!! Her first steps alone. I almost cried and almost couldn't take the picture. They responded to our excitement in her autograph book with "Happy Walking". Which I thought was extra special. She did good with her afternoon naps and on our off day she slept until 9:00 am!!! Of course I was up at 6:00!!!!!! We talked about going back for her 2nd birthday, but we'll have to see, we may be going to Germany to see a friend of ours graduate from medical school (former exchange student).
Thank you so much for your words of encouragement, they were ringing in my ears all week. I really wanted to post a trip report, but haven't had a chance, I might start one on my work computer and transfer it later. The one thing I learned rather quickly was, do buffets. She is so little, she doesn't eat much at any meal and I was paying a huge sum for kids meals and she wasn't eating them. She did much better from a buffet where I could give her variety. I hope you have a great trip and I must say I envy you, it will be a glorious time to be in Florida. Maybe one day in my old age, I can skip town during September, but I don't allow my employees to, so I must live by my rules. We are actually headed to New Orleans labor day weekend, so we're excited about that. I'm nervous about flying with the new heightened security and possible threats, but we can't live in a shell.
Have a safe trip and let me know if I can answer any questions.
