 That is a really great photo!!!! Makes me feel like I am there now! teeth:

My parents stayed at the VWL in a studio room for the first part of the week we were there. They had a queen sized bed, with a sleeper sofa. A kitchenette contained an mini fridge with freezer, a microwave, coffee maker and sink. (And of course, a balcony). I think they also had a ceiling fan. The rooms are about the same size as a standard room but look bigger I think because of the couch.

 Just wanted to say "hi". This is great, being able to hear about everyone's vacation and make plans!!! I love it!!!

It's kinda neat to look at the Lodge again. I can't believe it is over! It goes by SO fast so those of you who are headed there.... SAVOR every minute!

Thanks, everyone for the photo reviews! I am still a newbie with my Fuji, but my dad's Canon is awesome!

:D Love the idea of the kitchenette!!!! And the coffee maker!!!
What was the view like? Not that I can imagine any view at the lodge not being fantastic. I just love it there! I want to retire and move there and just live at the lodge.:p

You said it "savor every minute". It goes by so fast. When I was there, I loved to sit out on the balcony and just look at the view. It was awesome!

I would have to say when you are ever so nicely faxing/emailing your requests to the "Grand and Glorius" Room Assigner.... you should mention that view and location are important to you. With my parents, they failed to mention that single little detail, and if they looked down, had a beautiful view of the "laundry"! If they didn't look down, I think they had a woods view. I am staying there in November and I think I will be faxing a view request!!

~kimmar! Look at my newest tag!! The tag fairy is so generous! A salute to the WL and all those who love her from one of the newest "WL Vets"!

Uh...that would be...Alien Green from what I know. I grabbed a few other greens just in case though! :)

ok, strange question, but does anyone remember what color mickey head we are suppose to wear. DS and I went to Home Depot and we got all three greens because I couldn't remember which one. See I told you I have been getting ready for our trip.

Thanks for any help.

Diane

Ok, great, I have that color. I'm set with that. Now I just have to worry about the rest of the stuff.

Have a Disney day.

Well, contrary to what my siggie says, my toes are NOT in the sand any longer. :( Returned home the night before last from a wonderfully enjoyable stay at the Lodge. We paid for standard view, but from what I'm understanding as I read through some of the recent posts on here, we may have been upgraded to Courtyard view and didn't even realize it? Here is the view from our balcony, room 4121.

If anyone knows for sure what kind of view this is, please tell me because we really enjoyed it a lot better than our "woods" view that we upgraded to (with a free upgrade code) last time we were there. That room was coincidentally RIGHT ACROSS the hall on the same floor from where we stayed this time, and wasn't nearly as nice. I'd just like to know if we had standard or courtyard view this time because it was really nice.

I'm still taking it all in, trying to commit every detail to memory.

BluOrchid2,
I believe that is the courtyard view. Last year we had the same view but a little more to the left.

We're going in a few weeks. This is our second stay at the WL. Last time we had a woods view - got to see the castle and lots of otters :D This time we have a courtyard view. I was going to request non-smoking, queen beds, south-wing, inner courtyard. I want to see the pool and hopefully the lake to see the ELP while the little ones are sleeping at night. Sounds like a lot to request, but since it's only a request I figure, why not?

Question: I would like an upper-floor that doesn't have an enclosed balcony, but most importantly, a non-smoking floor. Which floors are non-smoking? I was thinking of requesting either 3,4 or 5 floor, but I think one of those is smoking.

Thanks, Karen

Karen, don't know about floors 3 and 5, but our room on the 4th floor was nonsmoking.

BluOrchid-what a fabulous view!!!
Yep that's a Courtyard view.....I think further towards the lake is called Pool view or Lake view(??)

Just wanted to stop by and say Hi to everyone. I've been away from the boards for a few days (got hit with that stinkin virus) and was going through withdrawl.

Congrats on the new job - that's great news

Majestic
I loved the chat room - what a great job - Has anyone else been on? I think we should designate a time to meet there and talk WL.

Less than 12 hours to go - Hope you have a wonderful trip

I love your trip reports. You seem to do it right - nice and relaxed but get to do what you want.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

What a spectacular view! Yup, it's an inner court view. If you look in that photo along the top row of balconies, there's one that has something yellow on it, or hanging off it. The balcony next to it [to the right] was my DS's room; 2 balconies to the right of that was mine. AspiringCindy's was next to mine(the last one)....:D For anyone interested, my DS's room had bunks, as well as that last room up top, furthermost to the right (AspiringCindy's)

Just noticed that we broke the one month mark!!! 29 days and counting. :teeth:
