Heya everyone!
OT, and I apologize, but I need a special favor from anyone who can help. Last week we ran into a huge crisis. Without going into major detail (I'm still trying to deal with it emotionally) but a lot of personal items were stolen out of our vehicle. Many included Christmas items for my 3 kids, but I am trying to replace most of them by contacting the merchants where we got the items. (meaning since a lot were premiums from online offers, I am hoping to work on replacements).
Unfortunately, my boxed of swaps (all credited
) and coupons were taken. Now why they wanted that, I'll never know, but these jerks also took 1 of DD's snow boots, and 1 sneaker; we got their mates back. These jerks also stole our spirit this holiday season. My older 2 are very understanding, but our DD 5 who still thinks Santa brings the gifts, is crushed over what she knew was in the van and what's missing. I've been working with the people from the carnival where hubby had won 3 stuffed animals to get replacements, they have been wonderful!
I'll be sending out an email via CttM tomorrow as well. As a small group here, I'm hoping many of you will be understanding while I put the peices back together. I don't want to mention to the large CttM group as I'm sure they'll view it as an excuse as to why I'm behind and I'm tired of explaining what and why this happened. I feel like I have to justify why I had what I did in our van.
Anyway, I'm desperately trying to throw together inexpensive items for my kids via freebies and deals. (I do this anyway, but now there seems to be a panic to make up for all we lost).
If anyone can help, I could really use kelloggkash as I won an auction and the envie to send out was taken and now gone. This was to be a gift for DD. I can also use coupons of $1.00/1 any size items that you could also find as a trial size so I can put together gift baskets for my older two. Extras are going to be put into gift baskets for the women's shelter. If anything, I want to show my kids that the true meaning of Christmas is helping others and not just family. I believe in Karma and what goes around, comes around, though I'm still waiting for some good to come our way.
Hubby and I have been telling everyone we aren't looking for charity as we aren't; justice will be served in time for these jerks, we just need to be patient, but I've been so stressed out, I just want to cry!
Swaps on CttM will be updated tomorrow and I'm putting together a sweepstakes page to show members that CttM is still growing stronger and even though I fall behind, I am working to make it a better site. I have to add auctions and raffles back as well. I've got a lot of cool Disney stuff here and will be needing the spare room by Memorial Day for our new edition.

(yucky but will suffice) and to top it all off, my BestBuy order for the 1 thing I could still get for oldest DD was never received at the store and now they're telling me my McD's bucks that were swaps on CttM are no longer valid.
