it's 5 tickets (besides the one for the military member)
Let me rephrase - Disney reserves approx 50 tickets per party (night) for members of the military.
Up to 6 tickets allowed per ID.

Can anyone confirm that military can for sure get tickets that day? When I called they told me this was only for select party dates in September. I know they're notorious for giving out bad info but I bought full priced tickets because I didn't want to chance getting there and not being able to get tickets.
OP, I'm asking DH to call and inquire. If they confirm that we can get day of military tickets, I'm hoping we can cancel our current tickets for that date and get a refund. I'll post here if this happens because that should free up three tickets for that night.
I appreciate that someone might really really want to get into a sold out party. Believe me, I do. I wanted to go to a particular MVMCP last year (our last night, so the following night wasn't an option), and I was really disappointed when I called to buy tickets and found out it was sold out. But imho the solution is not to take advantage of a benefit that Disney is providing for service members. It's akin to the situation where some people were hiring disabled individuals to go to the park with them so they could skip the lines. If Disney hasn't already cracked down on this, I'm sure they will.
I understand this , I really do... But why don't they do something about all those people buying tickets and selling them with huge benefits on Ebay? I think that's even worse. That way, people who really want to go, can't get in... I wouldn't mind paying the normal price at all,.. Since military can get in the day itself, why can't other people who show up that day and just pay the regular price...
I agree, there are tickets for Halloween night on there for $175 EACH. That's just insane.

Again, on-site military MNSSHP tickets are reserved and limited to members of military and their friends/family as a courtesy to them and their schedules
