Before we move onsite at Cabana Bay, we are visiting Universal during two of our "Disney" days. Both of those days the parks open at 9, and we plan to be in line around 8:30. I'm preggo and have a 3 y/o so not too worried about getting inside ASAP but anyway...

Last time we stopped at Cinnabun at CW, but don't really love that option.

Any delicious stops either at CW or on the way from the Disney area that we should stop at for breakfast?

Thank you!

Are you interested in breakfast in the park at all? Boulangerie near the US entrance has breakfast foods.

You could stop at DTD and get a breakfast at Earl of Sandwich.

Walgreens store at the corner of Universal Dr and International Dr had a lot of fresh food for sale when we went by for some items in March. And a lot of it looked really good. Fruit and cheese trays, sandwiches, salads. I would think they'd have pastries and coffee and such.

I don't really eat breakfast on vacation, so I've not really paid attention to what's available.

Thanks! I was hoping to finish breakfast before we are let into the park (we are early risers), and doing a drive through or city walk are the most "convenient" options though I should have added not interested in McD, BK, etc as I don't eat meat.

Just wasn't sure if there is a fun local stop in between. I don't usually venture off property for food either from uni or dis.

DD is addicted to Cinnabon so we ended up there most mornings :sad2:. I stopped in Starbuck's for a muffin (it's right across from Cinna) but they are sloooooow. Another option would be to stop at a Publix or similar and hit up their bakery for bagels, muffins, danish etc. then grab a couple of bananas or some melon to go with... That you could do the night before. Send hubby out for supplies while you give DD her bath anb get her settled in. There's always IHOP or Denny's if you want something more standard like waffles or pancakes but that is neither quick nor convenient. I know you said McD's is out because you don't eat meat but I have to say that they have really good pancakes. Also you can get an egg and cheese on a muffin or pancake sandwhich, you don't have to get meat. For convenience sake, not having to get the 3 yo out of and settled back in the car would be my top priority.

We like to do breakfast before we leave. Cereal and milk (small chug of milk in the ice bucket works fine), bagels, granola and yogurt, toaster waffles if you have toaster access. Then we do an earlyish lunch, have a big snack in the afternoon, then a late dinner. We keep granola and nuts in cargo pockets just in case someone (ahem, some teen boy) gets the munchies in between.

Coming from Disney if you go Turkey Lake Road way to get to Universalyou should go to Peach Valley Cafe in Dr Phillips Blvd.........amazingly fresh tasty food. Opens at 7am and is well worth a visit. Ultra friendly staff and very helpful if you have a special request.

Might seem not the easiest option but since you, like us don't like the fast food option this will work for you.......if we leave RP for breakfast this is where we go.

Will you be walking to the parks or bussing from CB? If you're walking, RPR has some grab and go items set up continental style that are somewhat inexpensive.

We usually get Cinnabon on our way out of the parks at night and eat it quick in the morning for something inexpensive. Isn't there a Burger King on the second floor? Not sure if they sell breakfast at that location, but I would assume so. We also like splitting a giant pink donut in the Simpsons area of US.

Thank you for all the ideas and advice. I hate to "cook" on vaca (though cereal certainly doesn't fall under that category) and my hubby isn't coming on this trip lol so looking at easiest as possible. I'm going to check out the menu for peach valley. I honestly didn't know mcds had pancakes ha!

In your situation I would either stop at a Panera in between WDW and UO, or stop at McDonalds for an egg white and cheese sandwich--I always have them hold the meat along with a smoothie of some sort.

Hash House A Go Go is on I-Drive and can be a fun place. Lots of meat, but you can get waffle platter too. First Watch on Sandlake or Keke's on Dr. Phillips Blvd. are all popular and good breakfast places near Universal.

We have a First Watch in the next town over and they have fantastic food. Better than IHOP. Worth a try if you don't mind the drive over there.
