Need one more TS meal

We are going the first week in December so I'm sure I'll be making ADR's without park hours. So far our TS meals are CP, Ohana's and 50s Prime Time.

We still have one more TS meal and I thought we could use it for lunch on our Resort Touring/MVMCP day. We won't be using park tickets that day, just entering MK at 4pm after a nice afternoon nap. That morning, I would like to tour the monorail resorts and have a nice lunch but I can't decide on a good location. I was thinking the GF Cafe but then read some negative reviews. We're already doing Ohana's so I didn't want Poly overkill by doing Kona. And Chef Mickeys doesn't do lunch!

I guess we could drive to another resort if it was worth eating at one of the restaurants.

Any suggestions?

We are going the same time and have the same dilema for the same day...wierd. We decided (at least for today) that we are going over to Whispering Canyon Cafe and can see the xmas decorations there. Everyone tells me how beautiful they are over there. It's our only opportunity to do it.

We've also toyed with going to DTD and eating somewhere over there but haven't decided yet.

I also vote for The Wave at the Contemporary. Try the grilled chicken sandwich with goat cheese. It's yummy.

Another great lunch option off the Monorail route is Saana at the Animal Kingdom Villas. Great food also and a wonderful view of the savannah and it's animals. Enjoy.

Another option would be Whispering Canyon Cafe @ the Wilderness Lodge. You can take the boat from the Magic Kingdom. We have had the Canyon Skillet -All-You-Care-To-Eat and it was good. Smoked pork ribs, oven-roasted chicken and pork sausage, served with cowboy beans, seasonal vegetable, creamy coleslaw, mashed potatoes and fresh baked corn bread $17.99 per person. You can also get sandwiches, burgers, fish (trout). This is NOT the counter service sandwiches and burgers. These are BIG and yummy. You can view the full menu at allears.net.
