Need help deciding which is faster...

I'm bringing my fiance to WDW for the very first time, on Valentine's Day , but unfortunately I only have one day to show him all of my favorite things.

Our flight arrives at MCO at 8:15am and we're using a towncar service to get to the parks as quickly as possible. I want to spend a half day at Magic Kingdom and then finish the day at Epcot. We don't have a single minute to spare so what is the fastest way to get to MK? We're staying at Boardwalk for the night, so should we go directly there, check in and drop off our bag, and then take the bus to Mk?.....or have the towncar take us directly to MK, but I assume we will have to go to the TTC instead and take the monorail, and might we be stuck in a traffic jam leading into MK at opening time?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

What would you do with your bag while you're at MK? It will be searched at the entrance. Unless there are lockers at the TTC but then you will have to go back to get it when leaving MK and there's no bus from there back to BW. I would drop your bag off, check-in for the best possible room and then take the bus to MK.

As a male and one-time fiance' (now married), first of all, congratulations; second of all...two words...slow down.

Unless the guy you're marrying is a Disney hyper-fanatic (like alot of us on these boards), running him around both MK and EPCOT to "experience" your favorite things isn't going to be a favorite experience for him. Plus, if you show him everything at WDW in one day, how can you justify trying to talk him into spending a week or longer on one of your anniversaries?

Where is you flight coming in from? If your plan lands at 8:15am, I imagine you'll have been up pretty early in the morning to catch the flight or have taken the red-eye; either way, one or both of you are going to be tired...now is not the time to become park nazi commander. Even with a towncar it will be 9:00am before you're at WDW (not counting traffic) and probably 10:00am before you see MK...and you want to do EPCOT as well later in the day? What is he going to remember? Most likely, fatigue!

I know you're really excited and probably a little anxious, but if you're really wanting him to enjoy the magic let him on his own schedule, MK is daunting by itself for a first-time visitor.

However, if you must, the quickest way would be to have the towncar drop you off at your resort and wait for you. If there is no line, check-in, otherwise, drop your bags at the baggage drop-off desk, give them your name and take the towncar to the MK. It'll cost a little extra to keep the towncar holding, but might be worth it if you're trying to wring out every spare minute at WDW.

Ya I guess you're right. I want to enchant him, not scare him. We're flying from Atlanta, a short flight but we still have to be up at 5:30am. It is his first time and I probably should slow down and let him experience it his own way. I could skip Epcot but I really wanted him to see Illuminations, though I think Wishes is more magical, but maybe not to him since he isn't familiar with Disney characters and stories.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll try a more relaxed approach.

Lord Fantasius is very smart and he didn't even pay me to say that!

Most town car services include a stop at a supermarket, usually either 15 or 30 minutes, at no extra charge. I can't see why they would object to making that a Resort stop instead, as long as it takes you less time than that to check in. On the other hand, you're right - the only way to get to the Magic Kingdom without going through the TTC is by bus. Or... have the driver drop you at either the Contemporary so you can walk to Magic Kingdom, or the Grand Floridian which is the monorail stop just before MK.
