We will be visiting WDW for just one day (day before going on the Disney cruise) and the theme park of choice is the MK. Since we will be travelling late September, the park hours are going to be something like 9 to 6. We are also very interested is seeing the Polynesian Luau. However, the show is at 5:15, and add another hour (?) to get to the Polynesian resort, we would have to leave MK around 4. Are we going to regret having to leave MK so early for the show since we have such limited time at the park as it is? We would really like to see as much as MK as possible within the park hours, but also realy like to see the dinner show! Someone make a decision for me!

Polynesian is a very short mororail ride away from the Magic Kingdom - you would not need an hour to get there. For the 5:15 luau I think you'd have plenty of time if you left MK at 4:45p. Once you get to the Polynesian, the walk to the luau is 5-10 minutes tops.

Even faster than the monorail often is the boat launch to the GF and Poly. It's a smaller boat that just goes between the two hotels and the MK. It shouldn't take you long to get over to the Poly. And if you still have room after the luau, go inside to Kona Cafe for dessert!
