Need best tips for MVMCP-I go next week!

I go to my first MVMCP next week. I know I can get into the MK with just my MVMCP ticket around 4:00 or so in the afternoon. What's the best strategy for the evening? It'll be just my DH & myself so we can stay for the late parade. What time are the parades? The fireworks? Where's the best place and when to get our picture taken? Any "not miss" shows?

Also, where's a good location to watch the parade and fireworks?

I'm going on Tues, 12/2/03. I can't wait!

You will love MVMCP...it's soooo warm and wonderful. DO NOT MISS the Christmas Parade; it's my favorite part. And don't forget to get your free hot cocoa! And the snow falling on Main Street! Ahhh, it's so wonderful. I love the clop clop clop of the toy soldiers' feet on the street as they march to Toyland, Toyland. Don't miss any of it!

We arrived about 4:30 last year, Tuesday Dec 10. We did some rides that had short lines - Pirates, Country Bears then headed over to Fantasyland for the 6:00 fireworks. After that we went to Tomorrowland, which was open for those with wristbands. We rode Space Mountain & Buzz. Then at 7:00 we headed back to Fantasyland and got our picture taken at Small World. Everything was walk-on back there (PP, HM). We usually wait for the second parade but we found a spot in Liberty Square just as the first parade was starting, it was not crowded. We saw the fireworks from the Tomorrowland Bridge and then watched the Castle show. Then went and got our cookies in Adventureland. I think my biggest tip is to get there early and head back to Fantasyland when the party starts. Alot of people find a spot on Main Street for the first parade as soon as the arrive and then just sit waiting for it, leaving the rest of the park empty.
