Need baking help quick! (dumb question inside)

I am making cupcakes for a friend's shower she is throwing. I got the muffin cups that have both paper and foil. Can I fill the foil ones in a baking tin and bake them, or can I only use the paper in the tin? The back of the cups package has strange directions.

VERY dumb question, I know, but I never make cupcakes.

I believe that I have used both. Usually when I buy the foil ones its for mini cheesecakes. The paper ones keep the foil from sticking, but I think I have used them also.

The ones with the foil are meant for when you don't have a muffin pan-you can use them on a cookie sheet. I agree that if you just use the foil ones,ay stick. Good luck.

Perhaps you could try spraying the insides of the foil cups with a little cooking spray (Pam or whatever) so they don't stick as much. I've never done it because I don't make cupcakes too often, but that's probably what I would do.

Foil is fine unless you're baking in the microwave..

When I make muffins that I think people will want to re-heat before eating, I always use the paper liners so they can pop them in the microwave..

Oh - and no such thing as a "dumb" question.. How else do we learn things?

oops I read the question fast and had to reread it as I thought it said "need BATHING help quick!"......................I was like wow dissing in the tub that is something, lol!!
