Neck Pouch at Blizzard Beach: help me settle a "disagreement"

Probably not on the rides, because it could get caught and choke you (or worse).

Around the park, no biggie.

Am I being too forward to suggest you not worry about music, a phone or any apps that day?
edit: My daughter wears an insulin pump, so I get that this might be for other purposes. And if it is for music, some music as you relax is a good thing.

I've worn one similar with no issues, I think as long as the string is a break away your fine. I did tuck mine in my top for the major slides.

No, not too forward. IF we bring the iphone it would just be
for taking pictures and maybe a touring plan app, although we'll
prob skip it that day (I got the bigger size to fit the iphone for other
times). We mainly want the pouch to carry our valuables in it
(money, room key, car keys) that I'm paranoid about leaving with the
bag.

Good call to check for the breakaway thingie.

When we go to the waterparks we rent a locker for our stuff... mostly because I don't want to leave my phone out in the open. I have one of the little waterproof cases to hold my room key and tickets. I have worn it on the slides, but like a PP I tuck it under my top for riding.

Here is all you need for the waterparks:

Leave the string long, hang around your neck and tuck it into your top. That's what I do w/ mine. Mine is one of the hard plastic kind (bought it at TL), and I have had no problem.

i think only one time did they ever say anything about the one i have with a break away string and then i just put it in my swim trunk pocket

infact i think i have a water proof container from tl that is break away

The pouch should be OK as long as everything on it is plastic. No metal is allowed on the slides because they make scratches in the slides that might cut people as they slide on them.
Also I would not carry anything I couldn't live without. If it comes off in the water, the guards will not let you dive to retrieve it because that would mean stopping the line and making a lot of people angry. They will have a CM dive for things, but no guarantee that it will be immediately(low priority to watching the water, rescuing people, and treating injuries) or that it will be found.

My advice put everything in a locker. You only pay once and can get things out any time you want to without repaying for the locker like at some theme parks.

Even if they stop you from wearing it around your neck on the slide (just like they won't let you wear goggles), you will be allowed to keep it in your hands as you slide down. We did it with flip flops and goggles.

I wear the hard plastic one (sold at TL/BB) around my neck on everything and they never say anything. On summit plummit, slush gusher, humunga kowabunga they told my sister to take off her sunglasses or she might lose them, but they didn't care about the plastic thing around my neck.

On some of the rides, they may ask you remove it from your neck and just hold it in your hand for the ride. Having said that, wearing something around your neck at the waterpark gets old real quick. Been there, done it. I have a waterproof camera I stick in the pocket of my swim trucks. Everything else goes in a locker.

Won't be a problem. I use something similar for my car key, KTTW card, and a little bit of cash.

Ah, the difference between men & women! :lmao:
1) If you've carried a purse all day, the little thing around your neck is no big deal.
2) Women's bathing suits don't have pockets!

Thank you for mentioning this! It never even crossed my mind to look for something like this for my pump!!! :)

That can go in the locker, since it's not waterproof :rotfl:

But they sell a waterproof pouch for those too! Have one for my Nook so I don't get sand and/or water on it while at the beach. :thumbsup2

Be careful with these hard boxes. I used on the last time we were at the park and it broke while on one of the slides with the mats. All I can remember is seeing my room key, credit card, drivers license, tickets, money, etc float past me down the slide. :scared1: I thought it was secure, the cast memeber didn't say anything to me about not wearing it, so down the slide I went. The problem was I was on a mat, on my stomach and it came loose, the string caught the part that curves around to make the handles and that is all she wrote. The pins holding the box together snapped. But, the latch was still in tact.

They called for a manager who had to dive to retrieve all my items that were being sucked up into the filters. He was awesome!
