National - can I do better than this rate?

We have a mid-sized SUV reserved for 8 1/2 days for $248 in mid-August. Do you think I can find a better rate? (I've tried several times, but so far, no luck). Thanks!

We got Alamo mid-size SUV end of June for 8 days for $117 incl all taxes. that particular res. started out over $300 7 months earlier before I applied codes.

National's rates have been running higher that Alamo this year; we switch between the two.

Monitor mousesavers codes & ID's and "play with" your ressie. As long as you don't prepay you'll be able to take advantage of whatever pops up via a "modified" ressie.

We have a reservation for a full-size thru National (at the Dolphin) for $136 for 8 days, all taxes and fees included using Contract 5000304 and Coupon code ND41 which was made about 3 weeks ago.

It must be cheaper to rent at the Dolphin. With the above codes for 9 days in August, I come up with over 300.00.

I'm finding this rental very expensive as well. I just keep checking every week to find a better rate. Hopefully it will go down as the trip nears. Right now my rate is around 240.00.

If you can put the rental on American Express, try using Contract ID 5125601 for National.

The rate was only $144 at MCO, but we wanted to take ME to the resort and pick up the car the next day. That said, however, I think it may have been a glitch in National's system. Someone here posted that National's rates for August were down so I took a look, made a reservation and posted on the DIS. By the next day, the rates were back up. Someone suggested that checking rates at night might be the trick. Good luck to all!

If I want to pick up a rental at the Dolphin, what pick up location code do i use on the website? (I know the airport is MCO, but what is the Dolphin) Is it an Alamo desk or National at the Dolphin? I like the idea of doing Magical Express, then picking up my car at the Dolphin. I'm also searching for a mid SUV for a good price, but in September. I just saw one today on their website for $179.99/week for July reservations -- maybe last minute is the way to go?
