Nancy Pelosi.......

For who? Herself, the party or the country? For herself and the party, she is doing the best she can to entrench power for as long as she can. For the country? She is killing the goose that lays the golden eggs.

She's the first female speaker of the house , I am curious to see what democrats think of her. Not politicians, everyday folks.

I agree with you , personally I think she nutty.

Seriously, I think there is something a bit "off" about her.

What do I know though? I feel the same way about John McCain. (Just showing I am not saying that because of any party affiliation)

Oh hell, this ought to get interesting real quick. popcorn::

She seems too full of herself.

I sometimes feel that way too, when I see her on TV; however, I also do a "sanity check" so to speak because strong, forceful women always seem to have that same effect on everyone.:confused3 Whether she's doing a good job or not, I just don't know. However, I do know that, in this country, women in high visibility, leadership roles often receive much more criticism then their male counterparts who may behave/act in the same manner. What's perceived as strength, confidence, and bravado in a man is perceived as conceit, *w*itchiness, and "cat factor" in a woman.

Sort of like say Sarah Palin? Sorry couldn't resist.;)

Why does everyone need to be categorized into a Dem or a Republican? I vote for who I believe will lead the country in the right direction based on the circumstances. Ivoted for Bush and Obama. It really can happen.
now stepping off soapbox

Can't stand her.

Wow, I guess even the dems don't like her. :rotfl:

No, many of us are not thrilled with her. Guess that kind of blows your Dems have no credibility because they blindly follow their party argument?

I think she is OK, but she wouldn't have been my first pick.
She seems to energize the House democratic base.

Actually, I'm not a dem. I just answered before you were looking for input from democrats. FTR: I am a registered republican who favors unions and organized labor. I do not vote party line and do not tow the party line. I guess that makes me a bad republican.

Not at all. Actually I really hate when people defend something or someone just because of their party. If makes me crazy when I read some responses, from both sides by the way, from people who clearly don't follow politics, or who don't take the time to find out about issues but come on here and just bash and are snarky because they are from a particular party. Usually, it's the name calling threads. I was really curious to see what Dems think of Pelosi, I find her very polarizing.

I think polarizing is a good word for her, not that polarizing is always a bad thing, but it depends upon the issue. On some issues it may be good to stand your ground, while on others a compromise is warranted. It is not good to be rigid on every single issue.

I don't care for her.
I don't think she has the best interest of the country at heart.
She leans a bit too far to the left for my liking.
