I'm not playing ... someone's bound to be offended and feelings are going to get hurt.

1. Madison. Overdone (and was a joke to begin with).
2. Hunter. Sorry, this is a dog's name whether you believe it or not.
'Kay I feel better now.
Oh, also edited to add I've also heard Ryan and Kyle for girls.![]()
Yeah, I'm a bit offended because not only is my child named Hunter but she is a girl! But everyone is entitled to their opinions and you certainly are yours.
Karma...
SadieDog said:I may be wrong, but I don't think this person meant it as an insult. Just pointing out a fact that many dogs are named Hunter these days. I have seen several. In fact, when I took my dog to dog obedience, there were 3 dogs named Hunter in the class of about 10.
So, that's the way I'll sorta look at it.

Our dog's name is Bridget.MosMom said:I've met a few dogs named Bridget....does that mean I have a dogs name or do those poor dogs have a people name?

I love most of the names listed. I also really like traditional names, but chose not to name my son something traditional because our last name is so "generic".Buckalew11 said:Yeah, I'm a bit offended because not only is my child named Hunter but she is a girl! I didn't know any boys named Hunter when I chose the name and certainly not aware it was a DOG'S name, but I loved it and still love it. And so does she (even at 12). I didn't want a girly, *fluffy* name (I won't give examples), I wanted a strong sounding name. My sister went to college with a girl named Susan Hunter_____ & she went by "Hunter". I thought it was a very nice girl's name--probably because I thought she was a really nice girl. She later legally changed her name to Hunter.

i really didn't like the name jordan at all when i was pregnant with my daughter, but i knew a woman named jordana who was sooo lovely and smart and sweet. i wanted my dd to be just like her. AND i didn't want my daughter to grow up and marry a guy with the same name (think paris and paris)Mrs.Toad said:Names like Taylor, Morgan and Jordan used to be used more for boys, but I think of them more as girl's names now.
It's fine for the girls, IMO, it just seems like such a pity for the boys.

"Cowpernia" but my mom wouldn't let him. Is that a real name?![]()

I don't dislike but I would never name my daughter Brittanie or any spelling of it. My daughter has so many Brittany's in her grade that some of them are call only by their last name. I think this is rude. It seems that only the popular Brits get to use their given name.
