I can see them continuing to issue the KTTW cards for the fist month or two of full roll out. They are suddenly dumping a WHOLE LOT more people into the system. If the busy little circuit boards get too stressed, things could go buggy.

True. And maybe when they remove the machines, they will increase the FP+ from 3. Maybe it is 3 right now because they think people will use both for awhile. With no more machines, there will be more FP slots available.

I've got a Dolphin reservation, but that does me no good right now. And I don't see any AP love yet.

Hopefully not, Couple people report calling and CM verified their resorts.

Yes you can get MBs, you have to modify online check in first.

When I go into MyDisneyExperience I now see that I have 3 cards for each member of our family under the MagicBands & Cards section. They look like KTTW cards from our past trips and say they are still active I am planning on going through and deactivating all 12 cards. Can anyone think of a reason not to deactivate them??

I don't think it really matters. We had KTTW cards from a previous trip show up as well.

Yeah, if you leave them alone you can likely pull FPs with them if you still have them in your possession.

I don't think it matters at all. KTTW cards of at least a certain vintage seem to work regardless. When we got moved from our OKW reservation to SSR, the KTTW cards were never associated with our profiles, weren't associated with any admission media, and they still worked in the FP kiosks.

Side question: I've not stayed at the Dolphin (or Swan) before...do you normally get Disney-style reservation numbers? I've got one but it is a shorter number. I don't know if it's the TA's number or the Dolphins.

If they don't make the resort systems compatible, then I expect Swan/Dolphin will not be included as "resort" guests with regards to FP+, for whatever advantage that may be.

I linked a DVC rental stay at BWV to MyDisneyExperience
Booked 3 more nights at Fort Wilderness online (disneyworld.com)
That reservation was linked

Found paper 10-day child park hopper ticket from 2009 and linked to my 7 year old

Noticed that I could choose FastPass+ plus reservations for my son

Did online check in for BWV stay

Was able to order MagicBands for 2 people

In order to get FastPass+ for me, I guess I need to buy my tickets and then it will allow me to be added????

This is all new to me. Am I missing anything?

My SSR stay let me customize MB part of my split stay in oct. my FP tickets still messed up but that's another story...

Apparently, I was wrong. Logging on to MDE for my nightly disappointment, lo and behold, I've got all the options (customize MB, make FP+ selections, etc). So if anybody's making a list at this point, add SSR.

I was surprised today to find I now have FP+ & Magic Bands available for our Oct trip to CBR! I was excited but realized I really haven't studied the FP+ process b/c I figured it wouldn't pertain to us.
So what I'm reading, if I'm not also issued a KTTW card, I will only have the 3 FP that I select each day? I had read previously that the strategy was to pull reg FP when needed in the am & use the FP+ for later in the day or to the afternoon park when we "hop".
I don't know if I'm as excited....not looking forward to waiting in the standby lines if we don't happen to select the correct FP+ times or attractions.
Also, if we follow a "touring plan" & accomplish the "must dos" in the morning, will we be ok without scheduling FP+?

I was able to customize my MBs (CBR! WOO HOO). On the website it says my 2-year-old is ineligible, but on the app it shows a MB for him but won't let me change the color. It did let me edit his name. Will he get one? Do you think if I call they will help me customize a color? Thanks!

Just got our custom MBs today and I see that the resort we switched from, POFQ in order to be a part of the test, is now eligible. With apparently every other resort? Bummed we made the switch to POR as POFQ is our fave. Owell, at least we r going to be in WDW in less than one month!

It's 3 per day and only at 1 park. So if hopping, you need to pick which park is more important to you to have FP+. Have you tried changing the times? If they are available, you can change times on the site.

This is where I'm at. We get hoppers for a reason & I was hoping that we'd be able to get a coupe must dos at one park & be able to "save" one for Fantasmic in the evening. I hope I make sense of this over the next month. :-/

We have Seasonal AP staying at AoA this week. We got MBs and have been double dipping but it's really not needed. Empty seats on Buzz, tea cups this week. Standby line same as FP for BTMRR even in afternoon.

We are able to book FP+ for upcoming Oct trip but not Dec- looks like we have 60 day window.

We like not having to get cards out for room access, charging, FPs. Not sure we will like being limited to 3 FP during busy times (like everyone else). And we do find ourselves shopping while waiting for FP return time.

Rider swap seems to be the old way. We have 3 kids and rider swap ticket only good for 3 total so we've been able to scan band of second parent so kids can ride twice.

Had trouble sharing plans with friends and found that you can not book FPs at more than one park for the day (we decided to hop and wanted to cancel remaining FPs and rebook at another park). However, we were told that with full rollout that would be possible.

Filled out survey today and talked with CM. said that we might get additional MBs for upcoming trips. because system recognized reservations separately right now. Also indicated it would be a few more months before full roll out.

Told me that they are testing linking ride photo pass to MBs next week. Excited about that!
