Mine were plastic from ut show up under manage MB but not under tickets. They should also show up there. Therefore it looks like I don't and says don't have a valid ticket which i do. Can't make any FP + reservations..

Ah finally, someone else with the same issue that I have. I was starting to second guess myself whether I had an issue or not.

What's being done to resolve your problem? Did they resolve your problem and how long did it take?

Your tickets were paper ones from UT? Mine were the plastic kind. Does your tickets also show up under Manage MagicBands in MDE? Can you please check nd let me know.

I'm staying at Pop too but in Nov.

Mine are paper UT. I went online (Blech! I rarely use the online site - prefer the app). I didn't see my tickets listed under Manage MagicBands, but I already have the actual bands. So I saw a message that said they were 'active' bands. Not sure I ever saw the tickets displayed with the bands in the app or online, but I have paper and not 'cards'. Sorry I couldn't help.

There are others with the same problem believe me LOL. Called last week said they will fix it and need to go in order of the tickets. I'm 41 days out so I'm being patient for now.. Gonna call in a few days again.. So give them a call so they can put a ticket in... Does stink though just want to finish my planning...

Can any recent users verify if online check-in is necessary to be able to customize Magic Bands and reserve Fastpass+? Can I do it without checking in?

I haven't ever done online check in... I was able to customize bands the day they announced the larger test group.

I was able to customize a MagicBand, but I can't make FP+ reservations. I keep getting error messages and I'm within the 60-day window. (My trip starts Oct. 18th.)

I have a unique situation and wanted to double check that FP+ will work the way I think it will. We are going to WDW mid-Oct and staying at an offsite timeshare. We are also using YES tickets. We do have 1 night in the middle of our trip that we will be staying at AKV Jambo house by renting DVC points. We arrive on a Friday and stay at AKV the following Tuesday. In MDX, we have MagicBands assigned to us and have customized them. However, we can not set any FP+. THe option is there but I get an error when I try set one, even for the day we stay at AKV.

My understanding is that because we are using YES tickets and can not link them to MDX until we actually pick up the tickets, MDX won't let us get FP+ yet. I don't think that will be a problem. From what I have read so far, we should be able to get FP+ at least for our day we stay in AKV and probably for the days following that day. I am assuming that is how it works since I see reports of people staying one night at Pop and then moving to a new resort and being able to still get FP+. My big question is once I link tickets, what are the chances I can get FP+ for the days before our AKV night. We have 3 park days and it would be nice to have FP+ for those days too.

FYI, in case any one is wondering, we are staying at AKV 1 night because we have talked about DVC and want to "sample" it before we buy in. By the time we decided to book it, there was very few options and so the mid trip night was the only one available. Getting included in MB and MyMagic testing is an accident. But one worth taking advantage of, I think.

You will not be able to book FP+ before the eligible stay. And no one can book FP+ without tickets linked and yes once you are in then you will be able to continue to use FP+.

DH came home from work yesterday and said his contacts at his conference finally got us a room at the YC for Oct. 3-10. We are already staying at the Poly, have MagicBands, FP+ set up, Magical Express done, all dining and have already completed online check-in.

While I would prefer to stay at the Poly (and not mess with any of my hard work, plus the standard rooms are nicer at the Poly), he wants to move to the YC to stay closer to the conference. I can't blame him, and it IS his work trip.

So what we have are TWO reservations until he calls today and straightens it out. Does anyone have a clue how this will affect our MagicBands? Thanks in advance ... I'm going into panic mode (and playing the world's tiniest violin for myself ).

I was wondering about this. I'm still about 100 days away but I was curious how early I was going to have to payoff to get the advantages of the bands.

Can't answer the FP+ question, but just a warning, once you go DVC you will never want to go back to anything else!!!! Disney might not get resort money out of us anymore, but they sure do get more trips to capture our money in other ways! We own at AKV and BLT. Enjoy your trip!!

I was wondering about this. I'm still about 100 days away but I was curious how early I was going to have to payoff to get the advantages of the bands.

I know I was able to get into it at 79 days but it doesnt matter on days.. It just matters if your hotel is participating. I am staying at POP so thats why I am able to do it because they are using them there now.

All you have to do is MODIFY the reservation from Poly to YC. I just did the same thing basically. We had reservations at AOA in a suite and I have already made FP+, reservations and had my MB's. YC finially opened up with a great AP rate and I couldn't change resorts fast enough. Since both resorts are testing, there won't be any problem. You just have to call and say you are changing resorts. You will keep the same reservation number, therefore keeping everything else. Now HOWEVER, If you cancel that Poly and then rebook to YC under a new reservation number, that's where things go haywire and you will lose all of your planning. When I called the other day and switched our resorts, it was easy, the only thing that changed on MDE was the hotel info.

If you're that far out, you are checking in in November. Testing has not been extended beyond Oct. 31st yet.

Can anyone tell me if there is some type of sched of what hotels are participating when? We're staying @ BWI in Oct & so far, I've heard that we aren't included, but just wondering if there is somewhere that has a link to the test dates/places?
