OK. MY turn to drop MY jaw!!!!!!!
I just posted the pictures on atht page something like Sunday night or Monday night??? And it ahd 1650 views to date! I had only told 15 of my coworkers and friends about it and 2 days after that there erter 300 biews, today...OMG!!!! Ya know, I should be smaking myself for not using what God has been trying to TELL me to use! Hey, I'm young right? Only 32.
Let's see, let me answer some questions...
If this response is any indication....I think I'll be moving on to this full time! If I can just get going on getting out there. If I had ANY money I'd pay to have my web site done as opposed to always doing all my own design. Something about a designer paying a designer... i'm weird right?
OK on to questions:
I started this room in February and I finished in early May BUT, that was because I had to get an hour here and an hour there. A few nights of my son sleeping over at his auties house... but if I were to do that extent again, if I had the room prepped and base painted, I could do it in 4 days. It does move quickly. If I bought a projector, it'd help too. I did all that freehand so it took a while. If I do do this for hire, I'll buy a projector my first time out. I'm not above projecting my own drawings on the wall to save HOURS of work and sorrections. I used to be in art colledge but the designers got over that FAST! Stupid artist pride.
I WILL travel though it's expensive sometimes, I'm sure... but I could easily drive to distances like Chicago.
How did I come up with designs and ideas??? Well, I just thought about how I could tell the Lion King story in the room without duplicating any of the characters much if at all. I managed that with all but Simba and hey...that's ok.

Who's it about anyway? Ideas were just natural. I got the first idea of the big mural wall with Mufasa in the clouds from their movie poster and it was off to the races from there. I also knew I wanted the hakuna matata log scene. I also wanted to do a waterfall but hey...wadda ya do. That jungle wall looks really cooler than you can see. I was taking pics alone that night and I couldn't move the bunk on my own. I'll get my hubby to help when I can get my handle on the of that tungston film again.
Though this is Lion King, I can draw and paint anything. Funny, I was going to do do an ocean theme in my son's nursery but I was ALWAYS so tired when I was PG.

HA! and it ended up still looking nice but just more simple with an ocean color chairrail to height with 5 colors of dolphin hand cut stencils jumping in and out of the "water" as a border. Then I put a few fish in the water and some light shapes above the chairrail and I was deon. It's all the energy I had. Hmmm. I can post some of my scrapbook pages. They have his room in it. I'll try to do that tonight.
I plan on doing his bathroom in Nemo! I've already got cute ideas for that. I LOVED that movie!!! Nick saw it 3 times. SOOO cute...BUT that's this winter's project. I've got to get going on getting going.
If I had had a girl, I probably would ahve done princesses with carousel horses since I LOVE carousel horses.
Does this cover it??? Kind of???
I'd welcome any private mails.
