I was in the resort view with parking lot view and loved it so you have a nice preferred view. I think watching the fireworks from the terrace is worth it. Its a different vibe than blt that is close and big so its really cool but poly its just so pretty seeing it over the water.

Curious to hear your thoughts on both resorts!

When Disney dangled the military "AP" in our face for $500, we couldn't resist planning 2 trips. Last year, we took a spontaneous 2nd trip when SWA dropped an airfare in our laps that was dirt cheap....well....THAT ain't happening this year.

Due to work obligations, we are stuck traveling in the first half of December. I knew that studios would be non-existent and so we planned on a 1BR. We also knew that we would be looking at SSR or OKW which were perfectly fine with us. This is going to be a trip mainly for JN and MVMCP anyways so we are not picky on the resort....relaxed vibes are perfect!

Since I planned on booking at SSR, I knew I couldn't book until May, but I have been monitoring all of the 1BR availability.... We just booked our airfare for our October trip and I've been watching the prices on the December dates as well. As I watch the 1BR's in December fall off the charts, I am getting more nervous by the day. Right now, OKW and SSR are the only resorts left that have all 4 nights available for our dates...and we still have 2 more months before we can book! Yikes!

So, today, I pulled the handle on the DVC slot machine and used our transferred points and waitlisted a 1BR resort view at the BWV. I know, I am a little late in the game, but better late than never! At least I have a small chance of getting something within these next 2 months.

The dvcnews website dropped the 2026 dates on 9/24/25

I know the 2025 dates were announced sometime in early September because they came out when I was on the tarmac about to take a transatlantic flight for a DCL cruise and I was desperately rushing to try to complete a DVC booking before we went wheels up.

I just successfully modified a resort view at Kidani to a resort view studio at Jambo for a single night in October. We were planning to arrive on Sunday for a 4-night stay in a CL studio but airfare was significantly cheaper to fly in on Saturday night. I was able to grab a resort view studio at Kidani but figured it would be much easier to stay at Jambo since our flight lands at 11pm. I waitlisted it, but I have been stalking too. This afternoon, I saw the resort view pop up available at Jambo and I grabbed it! Now, our October trip is a "tour de Jambo"....1 night in a resort view studio, 4 nights in a club-level studio and 2 nights in a savanna view studio.

I will most likely be playing slots for september or december late in the game if this ssr contract passes rofr, I am hoping by next week it passes and a closing by end of May would be fabulous.

Im thinking of maybe booking a poly bungalow for 3-4 nights before a disney cruise would be something unique and different that wouldnt require slots

Thought I was done playing for awhile. I noticed I messed up a booked something staring one day too late so now I’m needing to play for that one date that happens to be booked in the middle of a week.

I am heavily debating going to the parks for 4th of july this year. I have a one night reservation at vdh but ofc im blocked out of my pass so that would require park tickets.

They are doing a new fireworks show this year I believe. I looked at other options and a night in San Diego at our favorite hotel would be over $800 lol so part of me is thinking its a holiday, everything is going to be expensive and buying these one day tickets wouldnt be so bad.

I think the only summer deal is going to be there child tickets which doesnt help me at all. The jump to believe key is $500 so no thanks. I think next year I wont even buy a magic key and just buy park tickets during holidays when we like to go, im getting sick of all these block out days during times I want to go or pay $1500

I play DVC slots also!

In October, we are leaving the guys at home and have us six ladies in a 2 bedroom at OKW. However all are staying four nights and then I had OKW studio booked for the remainder of the trip for my mom and me (6 nights).

Then, I saw I could get GFVs, Resort Studio/View. So I moved the studio part (the 6 nights) to GFVs with two nights WL (October 22 and October 23). I figured it is October, I have some time and always been good with staking. Yesterday I found out on FB that this was the RunDisney weekend! OMG

So, like you, I keep pulling the handle (I'm only concentrating on the GFVs Resort/Resort right now, even though one night popped up for preferred view) with a constant refresh happening alllll day. I've done this on a RunDisney week/weekend before and things will start to open up but this will make it just harder. I also don't like that I will need to be flying home that weekend since I've done before and I told myself I'm never doing again (but with the other ladies, I had to be more rigid with their dates since they needed for work).

Anyway, I'm happy to join you in your slot pull and hope we all come out winners!

No chance could I bring myself to buy park tickets if I had an AP.

Listen to the radio non stop and try to win tickets. I win tickets pretty much every year for the last 8 years.
