Thanks! We put a light coat of glow in the dark paint. It glowed a little bit some of the time.

Liberty Tree Tavern

Our pager went off, and we headed into the restaurant. Our host was wearing similar make up to the Haunted Mansion CMs. He was very serious. Very in character. He complimented Jacob’s costume and asked if it glowed in the dark. We hoped it would a little. We were seated in the raised area on the right. Same as last trip. We had a better table though as we weren’t pressed up against the wall. We wanted to have dinner here on a party night to see the characters dressed for Halloween. They wear masks over there usual colonial outfits.

Pluto stopped by our table right away.

ltt01.jpg

Chip came over while Pluto was signing Jacob’s autograph book. He hung out near me pointing at Pluto and laughing. Everyone thinks its funny to watch Pluto sign his name. Then Chip decided he was hungry so he nibbled on the railing.

ltt02.jpg

As Pluto left, a hostess came over; she was placing a small pumpkin on each table as a decoration. Chip turned around and saw the pumpkin. He thought that looked even better.

We had received our salad and rolls just before Pluto arrived. We love the rolls here! The salad was good, but it seemed a little plainer than last time.

Next Goofy entered the seating area. He decided to get the crowd worked up. He would raise his hands to get everyone to cheer. Then turn them palms down to quiet everyone.

Afterwards Jacob turned to me and asked if I was videotaping. I didn’t even think of that. :headache:

Minnie entered the room quietly, and came around the tables.

ltt15.jpg

While Minnie signed Jacob’s book, Goofy was still acting up. He was entertaining the kids at the table next to us. The area next to Chip’s tasty railing had a ramp leading down to a door. Goofy was pretending to slip and fall down the ramp repeatedly. The kids loved it!

We’d now seen all the characters except Dale. I think we must have just missed him. We were one of the last tables seated in the area. Last time the characters had come around twice, so I wasn’t concerned.

The main course arrived.

ltt16.jpg

Then dessert, apple cobbler and vanilla ice cream. We were both so full we could barely eat dessert. Though I guess we did have dessert (cake) before dinner.

ltt17.jpg

Chip came back through the area, so we took another photo. I really like this one.

frimnsshp01.jpg

By then our area was clearing out, and no one new had been seated. It didn’t look like Dale was headed this way. We let our server know we hadn’t met him yet, and she said she would check on that. She came back and brought us over to meet him on the way out. The CM with Dale offered to take a photo with both of us.

We had a lot of fun with the characters here. They were fantastic!!!
I was thinking it was sad that they will not be here much longer. :sad1:

Silly Chip thought the pumpkin was an acorn. :rotfl:

ITA!!! I was hoping we would be able to take the kids the next time we go, but sadly they will have stopped the character meals!

Great pictures! The characters look cute in their Halloween outfits.

Kathleen, I'm here trying to catch up on everything. I LOVE Jacobs costume!!!! I havent read everything yet but I'll get to it in the next day. We just got back late last night and I've been doing this all day :laundy: Still doing it! :faint:

Thanks!
I was glad we planned it this time to see them in the costumes!
The characters have been so great both times we've been here.

Thank You! We have another costume effect coming up next!
Welcome Back! Good Luck with you laundry!

I love your fairie costume. It's so whimsacle! It looks like y'all had a blast at dinner. I am sad too that we never got to experience this character meal. I love Goofy in his knee socks! Chip and Dale are fun. I can never tell them apart though! We had so much fun at MNSSHP. I have that song from the parade stuck in my head "Happy Halloween..." I need to find that CD!

Very nice pictures at LTT! We'll be seeing the characters at Thanksgiving, but unfortunately, since they're being phased out, we'll never get to see them in their Halloween costumes.

I think it is so great that Jacob shares your love of Disney World. I know how much I enjoy sharing that with Jill, and those 'just us' trips are very special!

I hadn't realised they were stopping character dining at LTT! No fair! I wonder why - it always seemed really popular! I tried to get an ADR for our trip in Sep, and then when I had to rebook for Nov still couldn't get an ADR!
BTW I showed DS the photo of the keyrings you bought thinking he would really like the Jack Sparrow one - he said "That looks nothing like Jack Sparrow!".....ungrateful little so and so....sometimes I thnk he can't possibly be related to me! :sad2:

Goofy's outfit there is so cute!
One year a CM taught us that the noses are different colors. Chip's is black like a chocolate chip in a cookie. That's how I remember. But I think there are other differences as well.

I went into the Emporium to buy the Halloween music on CD at one of the partys and they were out. :sad1:
There were two other people looking for it at the SAME time. No copies left though. They said it sells out FAST! I did some searching and the Halloween Music is on the "Magic Kingdom Event Party Music" CD. Also Pirate and Princess party and Dream along with Mickey music. I am going to try calling and see if I can order it. I have the number somewhere on my desk. I'll let you know what they say.

I was happy we planned LTT this trip. We made the ADR before the change was announced!

I am so glad Jacob loves Disney so much. It was nice to have some time together.
I was going through the photos the other day, and Hannah sat down with me and honestly wanted to see them. She loved looking at them. She is looking forward to going with us next time, but there are a lot of things she does NOT want to do. She will not go on HM, and she covers her ears if we mention the Yeti.
She does love our new popcorn bucket though. She uses it all the time!!!

They are only having the characters to begining of Jan. :sad1:
I would think they are busy. It is really small in there though. Its fun to see the characters in different outfits at the different meals. I like the costumes at LTT, and the character interaction has been amazing there.

We almost lost Jack when his hat came off!!! :scared1:
We saw him fall though. He now needs to be reattached.

I sometimes wonder how Hannah and I are related. She is a lot like her Dad.
Jacob on the other hand. Sometimes it scares me how much alike our thinking is.

:thumbsup2 Great report but now I'm hungry. Your pictures are great!!!

Thank you! Food pictures always make me hungry too. Especially dessert ones.

OK I am home now, and I just called. 1-407-363-6200 and ordered the "MK Event Party Music CD". They had it in stock and it is 24.99 --total $34.93 with shipping. I should have it in 10-15 days!!! :yay: I hope we have it by Halloween, so we can play the music then! It is also on ebay for more money, but if you want to see the details & song list, take a look at one of the listings there. I didn't order anything else since we bought so much while we were ther. Though there was a few things I could think of instantly that I would like!!!

I got out of LTT before my Mom and started to put my green make up on my arms. At first I couldn't get enough on because it was too dry. Then I wet the brush with bottled water we got from the bakery, and it worked fine. When my mom came out she did my face.

We didn't want my hat to get green so we didn't do my forehead.
psk06.jpg

Then we figured it was going to get green anyway and it looked better if she colored my forehead.

Here is the final product.

While we were putting the make up on, some Frontierland singers who were part of the party walked by. The had arrows sticking through them, their shirts were bloody and their faces were pale. There costumes were really cool. Unfortunately, no pictures. Sorry.

We then headed toward the haunted mansion.:hmghost:

There was a woman outside the Haunted Mansion making comments about the people in the line.
hm103.jpg

When were in the graveyard we saw the gravestone that moves its eyes. I've known about it since after our trip in February, but this was the first time I had seen it. We went on the ride, and it was fun. When I die I want to be the 1000th ghost. Just kidding. Last time, in February, are doom buggy was stuck in the Library for 5 minutes. Not this time.party:
Our hitchhiking ghost::hmghost:

When we got off the ride and outside there was a black light. My costume glowed! Yay! :thumbsup2
hm107.jpg

Coming up, the scariest ride of all. :scared1: Any guesses?

Great update Jacob! Love your costume.

Ummm, scariest ride. I agree with the above post, It's a Small World???

Jacob, I LOVE your costume! You did such a great job with it. I cant wait to hear more from you both.

Jacob's costume was designed after this guy here. He was a Pirates of the Carribean Happy Meal toy. He was supposed to join us at the party, but he was left back home in RI. :sad2:

When my mom came out she did my face.

Since we didn't have a mirror, we were actually taking these photos so Jacob could see how the make-up looked.

They passed us so quickly we didn't get a picture. One had an arrow or something sticking out of his head, and as he walked by he made a comment about having a headache. :lmao: They finished singing and left by the time we were heading over to see them. They looked fantastic.
It was almost 8pm, so the park was closed, and the party had started. The atmosphere had definately changed, and more people were wearing costumes. We were on the walkway outside LTT and people were lining up for the first parade

We then headed toward the haunted mansion.

When were in the graveyard we saw the gravestone that moves its eyes. I've known about it since after our trip in February, but this was the first time I had seen it.

Another walk on!!!!
The timing was perfect for the gravestone opening her eyes.
I have been on the HM many many times over many many years, and for the very first time I looked up in the stretching room, and saw the attic/hanging scene. I didn't even know about it until this year.

While on the ride, I leaned over to Jacob and said, you are at Disney, in the Magic Kingdom, at a Halloween Pary, dressed as a pirate/skeleton, riding the haunted mansion. What could be better than that?

When we got off the ride and outside there was a black light. My costume glowed! Yay! :thumbsup2

I was really impressed with Jacob's costume, he looked fantastic!!! He did such a great job on it!!! He definately received a lot of comments over the night!!!

There was a fun photopass outside the HM at the hearse. We stopped and got a photo with no wait!!! I am still adding borders to the photopass pics, but I'm almost done. We'll post those photos after we get the disc.

The singers you saw in frontierland are the "cadaver dans", baseicly they are the dapper dans but only they are dead.
