My Son Loves Halloween...5/5 3 updates! Main Street, castle, statue photos

Jacob pointed out to me last week that we really needed to update. :rolleyes1
I have been having computer problems for the last week or so. Everynight I lose the internet connection. It comes back when I restart, but it takes forever to do that. :headache: Its cable internet, and we've had no problems with the tv or Joe's laptop so it is something on my computer.

So we were on Sunday morning just before 8am for our CP breakfast. We headed into MK and it was beautiful. Not crowded. Decorated for Halloween. We took a lot of pictures. I took 125 photos before our ADR that moring. Here are a FEW from our (very slow) walk down Main Street.

We had really been looking forward to getting into the park early and it was definately worth it! I really enjoyed this time! Also I was feeling well rested! Much better than the night before!

Jacob has some Main Street photos as well, so I will get them up next time.

Very nice Main Street pictures! The Halloween decorations are amazing!

Love the pictures. Isn't it amazing to see an empty park. Jacob, I love your t-shirt, I have been wanting that one.

Today is my Best Friends Birthday and she is spending it in Disney World! (lucky!) She has been there all last week and I think tomorrow is her last day!

We have been missing Disney since we returned from Florida!

We have been debating Dec 2009 (first 5 days of the month) for a SHORT trip.

OR

Feb 2010 - president's week

OR

April 2010 (our vacation is two weeks after Easter).

Hannah is ok with any of the above, and is starting to look forward to going back!!!! :cool1:

Jacob has said no to December because he would miss two days of school, and he starts high school next year.
He wants to go in Feb.
Would love to take Hannah in December though.

I am looking forward to your next update. I love all your pictures.

Thanks! Will get Jacob to choose his favorite photos soon!

Very nice Main Street pictures! The Halloween decorations are amazing!

Thanks! They were very festive!

Love the pictures. Isn't it amazing to see an empty park. Jacob, I love your t-shirt, I have been wanting that one.

Thanks! It was cool to be without crowds! I would like to do that again!
He got the shirt at DHS the previous trip, he wears it a lot!
Looks like you are going back for another MNSSHP!!! :yay:

Yes, we hope to go Sept 4th, had that weekend booked since the trip when we were there same time as you. MNSSHP occuring that same night is a bonus.

That is good that Jacob doesn't want to miss school, I hope mine gets that way someday. February would be nice, but April would be great because it would probably be during the Flower and Garden Festival. Have you been there for it? It amazes me how much work they put into it. And hopefully two weeks after Easter would be less crowded.

I love all the pics of Main Street. We have ADR for CP at 9:00. I did that so we could get in the park before it opened and get some good pics like you did:thumbsup2 I love the pumpkin with the ice cream scoops. I tried to get a pic of that too but it was at night and it didn't come out :(

So glad you may be planning another trip! December is my absolute favorite time to go and that first week is really slow. All the decorations are up and it's BEAUTIFUL! We have actually not ruled out taking a quick trip that week too just to see the Osborne lights and Candlelight Processional. It's worth the trip for both of those!!!

Can't wait to see pics from CP. I've never done that one before. You'll have to give us a review of the food too!:thumbsup2

Jill had asked me about an October trip, and I had pretty much said I would be out of that one because of finances, but seeing those window displays again makes me want to change my answer to yes. Plus, we have some cousins who are going down the week of our fall break, and it would be fun to do some stuff with them. I'd love to do MNSSHP again!

I need another job or five to fund all this stuff.

Could there possibly be a mother-daughter trip in December, even if it is short?

What a good kid you have, not wanting to miss school!

I would love to go to the F&G festival. I have not been yet. Too often our vacation falls on Easter week, so we have not gone in the Spring. We have been in Feb twice. I have been trying to catch up on your report, and saw your F&G photos. They look great! You are swaying me for April! Actually April was my original plan all along, but if my brothers family is in Ft. Lauderdale in April, then my stepmom cannot join us at Disney. April gives me more time to accumulate vacation (still need a new job) and to save for the trip. I think my in laws also want to go with us next time. So now I have to work everyone else's schedule along with mine. :lmao:

We keep telling Jacob school will get harder next year. Guess he is actually listening. He will be in High School. That is so hard for me to believe.

Thanks!
I tried to take some night pumpkin pics, but they did not come out too well. And it was so crowded in the afternoon. I was glad to have this time to take photos.

I would love to go in December, it is hard now that the kids are in higher grades. I really want to see all the decorations and the Osborne lights & the Candlelight processional, & the lights on the castle. That would be funny if we were there the same time again.

We love CP. We have had lunch & dinner before, this was our first breakfast. I love the bright sunny atmosphere. I think there are still two updates before we get to CP. :rotfl:

Weren't you trying to convince Jill to go in the fall?

I would love to go in December. And I did plan to take Hannah alone at some point. It would be a very different trip. There are a lot of rides she does not ride. :rolleyes1 But we could visit all the resorts & look at the decorations, and meet all the princesses and Tinkerbell. Jacob is not too happy with the idea of us going without him though.

I don't know if I will be able to afford December & a longer 2010 trip. Or have vacation time. Apparently we need a new roof, and water heater, and dish washer. :headache: We'll just have to see. I just think there will be a really nice deal that week. I will wait and see what Disney & Southwest deals come out. A nice bonus points offer from Disney Visa would help too.

We have been telling him how much harder next year will be since he will be in High School. Guess he is listening. He was placed in Honors Geometry & Language Arts, and on the higher track classes for Science & Social Studies. He requested Art, Engineering Graphics, & Spanish for electives. So maybe I shouldn't try to convince him to miss school for Disney.

These are some of my Main Street Pictures from that morning.

There were some models of Disney movies displayed in the windowsill. I took them right up against the window to avoid glare and so they're really zoomed in. Some of the models moved.

By now it was time to head over to Crystal Palace to check in for our breakfast.

I really like this bridge.

We checked in at the exact time of our ADR 8:05. We took some more photos while we waited for our table to be ready.

Another angle of the same bridge.

Pics, pics, Pics. I love all the pics. The ones of the empty bridge are really nice.

Jacob, the window photos are great. I also like the one of the train tracks, its an unusual shot.

Great photos, MK looks fab, and it's great to see it so empty. We need to get an early breakfast ADR and check it out for ourselves!

Your photo is beautiful. You should enter it into a contest. I have been following your tr and I think this one is beautiful. I would love to take a trip with each one of my girls. Looks like you enjoyed your time with your son. I can totally understand your lack of sleep at Disney though, I am so busy thinking about my family being excited , I can't sleep!!:goodvibes

Great Main St. pictures! I really like all those pictures of the models in the windows. I have to look for those when I make it back!

I'd like to have some (or all) of those statues in a rock garden at my house.

Crystal Palace is such a pretty place!

I was talking to Jill about an October trip, but she nixed it. Then she called and said she and John had been talking about it, and maybe there would be an October trip. By then, I had looked at finances, so I said not for me. Then I saw Halloween pictures from you and some others, and I thought maybe I could squeeze in a budget trip. :) If our cousins go, they'll be going the week I am on fall break. Jill wanted to go earlier in October for her birthday. So it's all been back and forth.

At this time, it is all up in the air. Will we go, and if so, when? There are no answers to that right now.
