My Son Loves Halloween...5/5 3 updates! Main Street, castle, statue photos

Great start! I love your Pop pictures! We are thinking about staying there on the next trip! Your window look great! The pumpkin Mickey is so cool.

Yay, you've started! That is so sweet that Hannah and Jacob got you a little surprise as well. :goodvibes I like all the pictures you got at the airport...I always mean to do that but then my sister gives me strange looks and I am too afraid. Somehow it is ok for her to take odd pictures but not me. :confused3

Thanks! It was a fun place to stay.

I really was surprised!
Jacob started taking pictures right away. I let him choose the ones for that post. He once videotaped a 5 min walk through an airport.

YAY YAY YAY:dance3: I'm so glad you started!!! I love all the pics. Uhhh, I was about to type that it looks like y'all had great weather the first day. Then I remembered, that was our first day too:rotfl: WE had great weather that day! It was hot. Good idea to pack the costumes. Can't wait to see them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It'll be interesting to compare where we were each day!

I put my headphones on and listened to my mp3 player. General music for a while, then switched to the Disney songs on there. There are a few.
A few? Liar. Try a dozen.

It must be noted this was not much fun for stitch because he coudn't watch the movie.

Thanks!

We did dress up, both nights. On Fri 9/26 Jacob was a green skeleton pirate and I wore a blue fairy dress. You would have noticed him if you passed him.

On Sun 9/28 Jacob was Indiana Jones and I was Alice (in Wonderland).

I can't wait to see your Giselle dress photos!!!!

I can't wait to see your costume photos either. I almost dressed up as Alice. I even bought the dress but finally decided on the Giselle dress.

What sweet kids to give Mom a card and candy!

Thanks for all the good pictures. Jill, John, and Brooklynn are at Pop right now, so your Pop pictures are making them be able to picture them there even better.

Your window decorations are very cute! I look forward to reading more and seeing many more good pictures.

:yay: You've started!!!
Love the TR so far, and all the photos!!! It's so exciting to see it all!!!
The weather looked great (so far), hopefully it was good all trip for you. :thumbsup2
Can't wait to hear more!

They knew they had some surprises coming, and they wanted one for me too! They had come up with the idea and Hannah had picked these up while at the store with a friend. They gave me this card. With my favorite candy PB cups in Mickey shapes, and a Halloween candy too. I thought it was really sweet of them.

That's so sweet of them!

Cute!

Playing a Star Wars game on his PSP. I took this because he swore “his camera would never leave his wrist.” Where’s his camera??? (He lost a camera last trip)

:lmao:
Jacob’s surprises. A little Capt. Jack, a new UMD movie to watch on his PSP – Pirates of the Carribean – Curse of the Black Pearl, and some pumpkin ice breaker candy. Capt. Jack was supposed to be a friend for the green skeleton pirate. But Jacob forgot to bring him. :headache:

Captain Jack has a twin in RI!!!! He'll be so excited when I show him! (Jacob, I can't believe you forgot green skeleton pirate after you based your costume on him! ;) )

I love that! I'm always looking for some way to keep my ipod up. Now I'm going to be on the lookout for stuffed animals that may do the job!

We were finally at POP!!! Our first time on site. It was fun to see all the theming. We were in the 70's building, and Jacob was a little disappointed because he thought it had the least fun theming. He liked the 50's area.

I agree!

I love you window!

Jacob loved Mr. Potato head when he was little! He drew pictures of him, and even wore a homemade Mr. Potato head costume for Halloween one year. I'll have to find and scan a photo.

You're making me want to go back to Pop!

We decided it really was too hot to wear costumes. So we packed them into a backpack to change later. We headed out to find the bus stop and go to the Magic Kingdom and MNSSHP!!!

I can't wait to hear about it!!

Some of Jacob hopefully soon. Not as many of me, I haven't finished the photopass borders yet!

Great report! :thumbsup2

Thank you!

The weather was pretty good!

I can't believe he forgot. He brought enough other "friends."
Though he did have a long day, the day before, including volunteering at open house.

After lots of twisting and moving and closing the shades Stitch solved all our viewing problems.

We headed to the bus stop with our costumes in a backpack. Jacob’s sword didn’t fit in the backpack so on the way to the bus stop he decided that since he had to carry the sword, he’d wear the belt and put the sword on. Makes sense. Then he decided since he had the belt on he’d add the pistol. And then he added the bandana and the eyepatch.

Then he decided the pirate stuff didn’t really go with the blue and white polo shirt he was wearing. :lmao:

We waited a little bit, then took our first Disney bus!!!

We were so excited to be at MK and MNSSHP!!!!
All night, Jacob kept saying “I can’t believe we’re here!!!!”

I tried to take a picture of the displays, but this area was really crowded.

Too many people entering the park all in a hurry! I decided I’d get better photos if I waited until Sunday morning when we had an early ADR. It was a good decision.

The monorail passed right over us!
Jacob took a photo.

We headed into the MK through this entrance.

We got our wrist bands and our candy bags.

We walked down Main Street!!!!

We arrived at MK around 5pm. We had a 6:20 ADR. And on the bus ride over we suddenly remembered we’d never stopped for lunch! We were starving!!!!
Where could we go for a snack???

Main Street Bakery!!!

We saw so many great things in here!!!
Jacob was going to get a Danish. I thought the apple turnover looked good.
Then I pointed out the bat cookies to Jacob. And we noticed the ghost cupcakes next to them. He decided on the ghost cake. And I saw some Halloween cupcakes, and had to get one.

After our snack we headed over to the Emporium.

Jacob likes to take the interesting angles:

I saw these adorable Minnie witch hats!

Jacob liked the Pluto display:

Jacob needed an autograph book for our character dinner. So far he has used a new book and Disney pen every trip. We also bought an adorable Jack Sparrow keychain and a pirate spyglass.

Here is Jack and with his friend Mickey that we purchased later that night.

That is too funny about Jacob adding more and more of his costume as he went.

I love your pics. We didn't really stop to enjoy the scenery. That's it. I have to make a day trip next week to get pics of the park.

Looking forward to more!

Once we got to the bus stop we realized his costume top was short sleeved and he could have worn it. :sad2:
Oh well, he'll have it on soon. :lmao:

We had a before park opening 8am ADR on Sunday, and we were able to take a lot of "daytime" pictures. We took "after dark" pictures on our way out Friday night, so we ended up with lots of photos, just not on our way in.

I wish I lived close enough to make a day trip.
I grew up in Florida and I really miss it.

We headed into Adventureland.

As soon as we reached the sign, Jacob and I stopped at the same time, pulled out our cameras and started taking pictures.
adv01j.jpg

Then I took some photos of these guys, and all the tropical plants around them. I love tropical plants.
There was a guy sitting on a bench, looking at us like we were crazy to be taking pictures.

Then we headed straight to POTC. We wanted to check out the Pirate hats and accessories at the shop.
potc03k.jpg

We saw this wait time and went right in.
potc01j.jpg

potc02j.jpg

Plenty of people were entering. They were all going left. The CM was standing there trying to tell them they could go right. They weren't listening.

We went right. We wanted to check out this game.
potc04k.jpg

potc05k.jpg

We rode pirates! Our first ride of the trip!!!!
Walked right on!

Then we browsed around the shop.
potc06k.jpg

Jacob remembered the medallion from the movie was here.
We had to really search, but finally he found it.
It's hanging on the red vase.
potc07k.jpg

We changed into our costumes. Then Jacob bought a pirate hat and a pirate Mickey plush. The CM’s at the register loved his costume!!!

By then we were late to our ADR, so we rushed over to Liberty Tree Tavern.

We checked in 15 minutes late, and were given a pager. It was pretty crowded, so we went outside to get Jacob’s costume organized, and take some photos.

Next Liberty Tree Tavern….
But not for a few days, we’ll be out of town until Sun night or Mon morning.

Great updates! Jacob's costume looked great. :thumbsup2
