Ok nobody shout at me.... but we will be visiting Universal as well!!!
We have some thrill lovers in the family and they love some of the fast thrill rides at Universal. Plus we are all Harry Potter fans and can't wait for a look around Hogsmeade!
We will be going to Sea World for the day as I just know the kids will love seeing the sea-life there. And we're also thinking about Busch Gardens as I understand there is quite a good zoo area there too.
Otherwise we'll have free days for relaxing at the villa, shopping (my first choice shopping is at DTD!), going to the beach maybe? I also want to look at a few resorts and play mini golf at Disney. And my OH will want to take Toby to Blizzard Beach!
We are going to attempt to visit the "main" parks together, in one big family unit (although we may split up whilst we're in there) and then on free days - they will be family days and basically days where I will force OH and Toby to do all things Disney!!!
I am open to all ideas and suggestions!
I forgot to comment on the Broccoli name calling! So cute and so funny! You can't help but giggle!
xxx
I don't know a thing about Harry Potter, so I won't be adding to the crowd there. I'm sure it is cool for those who know all about it.
Definitely put in some time at DTD. Basin, Twelve Days of Christmas, Goofy's, Once Upon a Toy, Pin Traders, World of Disney.... I would love to be there right now. When I say something to Trent about going over there, he says, "That's a half hour away." I could just choke him!

Half hour? I'd love to be half hour away!
SeaWorld would be a different experience than any of the Disney parks. It's been a long time since I have been to Busch Gardens, but we liked it. It doesn't compare to Disney World, but it is (or was) nice in its own right.
I just love the pics of little Bella wrapped in a towel and sleeping. She looks like Blake, my 2yo. He refuses to be covered up. He will wiggle his way out of any cover. That is why fleece pajamas are my friend in the winter. Did you get snow yesterday? It snowed huge flakes here and they are forecasting snow tomorrow and Sun/Mon.
We had a pretty snow yesterday, but it only stuck on the ground, not the streets. It was just a dusting, but it was pretty while it was falling.
That is great that you were able to score a 6:20 ADR on the 4th for 'Ohana! For our trip in October I stalked the ADR site twice a day for 2 months to get a better time! I hope you enjoy the dinner. It is one of our favorites.
Great updates! The sleeping Bella pictures are just too cute.
We sure are looking forward to it!
Well, Alice has stayed there before; she was with me at NYE last year. Noah hasn't stayed there but I know he'd like it. I really love Pop & I'll leave it up to the kids, but the high points for AKV are:
* Laundry for no extra charge
* Kitchenette in room
* We'd each get our own bed, since the AKV studio room has a sleeper chair as well.
So, I would imagine we'll end up staying there but the kids are the decision makers for this trip, so I'll leave it up to them.
There are pros and cons to each, I am sure. I like having the animals to look at and the zero entry pool at AK. I like the kiddie pool and the bright colors of Pop. Either way, you will have a blast!
Send prayers to the Deegan Family...
In such times of heartache, we hold out own children just a little closer.

Thanks for joining in our group. You will meet a lot of nice people here who care about each others' joys and sorrows.
My heart is breaking for this family
It is sad to think that just two weeks ago they were enjoying the happiness of Christmas, and now this blindsides them.
I'm so sad for this family being mentioned here. What a tragic way to begin 2011.
Great update MeMom! I also have never had a bad sandwich from Earl. Yum, yum. I'm glad you were able to spend a good amount of time with Trent.
All of us with kids can relate to the depth of love this mother had for her son. His absence will leave a big hole in her life.
Trent called today and said 50 days sounded like a long time. He said seven weeks sounded a lot better.

Weeks go by quickly, so we'll be there before he knows it. He said he has been very busy at work with all of the NY resolutioners.
That is so cute that Jenessa was calling Brooklynn "broccoli".
I love the pic of Bella wrapped in the towel & the one of her sleeping So cute!!
You got some great little figures in your packages (after you paid for them). The are all cute. I like having little things to put around my desk at work. That might be an idea...
I have a few small things from Epcot on a shelf at work, and when I look at them, I do get a lift thinking of good times past and of good times to come. I remind myself of happier things on particularly rough days. The small figures are at home, but I might take them to school sometime to show my kids. They'd like them.
I may have just talked my Mom into going for a short October trip after realizing that we have been in the Magic Kingdom for the 15th and 25th Anniversaries! We don't dare miss the 40th Anniversary, now do we?!
I just love the Magic Kingdom in October!
Any idea when the Pixar Suites will start taking reservations by chance?
Time to start planning a trip...
A 40th anniversary trip is a must! I think I read that it is a rule that anyone that was there for the 15th and 25th had to go back for the 40th. I'm sure of it.
I don't have a clue when they'll start taking reservations. I'm anxious to see what progress is made when we go in February and then in July.
Love the explanation of the TR title! Too funny and cute! The pics of Bella bring me right back to when my own kids would sleep when they were little.
Love the little figures- so many cute ones. Would love some for myself, just don't know what I would do with them. hmmm
Continued prayers for the Deegan family...
Bella just looked so peaceful in that picture. Her Mickey was close by, but something not good happened to poor Mickey later in the trip.
We do have 4 non park days scattered throughout our stay so I am sure we will head there more than once.
I am sure the towels are better at a DVC resort then a Value resort. I asked DH if he wanted to stay shorter but in nicer resort or longer in Value. He chose a longer stay. I was surprised but he is planning this to be our only trip there (silly man).
Still praying for this family.
We don't have total non-park days, but we have days when we'll do either morning or evening and then do other things the other part of the day.
Of course, we don't stay two weeks, either!
