My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

Me, me! As of right now it looks like the week of aqug 14. My DD goes back on the 22nd. Hope to book tomorrow.

Yay! Will you keep me posted on your trip news? We will not be spending every single day of 3-weeks in Disney but we have a very large chunk of time when we plan to be there!!!

Next morning - here's my precious sleeping baby again.

SSRStayOct2010197.jpg

This is soooooo cute! Its exactly how Toby sleeps! Even the feet crossed at the bottom too!!!

I have never eaten anything from Earl of Sandwich and I am very much looking forward to dining there on this upcoming trip!

Julie I can't believe you've never eaten at EOS!!!!!!!! That's just wrong!!! hee hee :rotfl: You will REALLY enjoy it! xxx

Another update:
The baby was released from the hospital tonight. She initially had brain swelling because the top of the carseat was folded over and pushed down on top of her. However, the swelling has gone down enough to release her and they don't think she will have any long term effects. The Mom is still in ICU but hoping to be moved to a step down unit. She has major trauma to her neck and spine. She is sedated because they want her to have minimun movement because there is still the fear of paralysis. There is another child who was not in the car. He is 8 and has not been told of his brother's passing. The Mom wanted to be able to tell him when she got home but they are not sure when that is going to be, plus they are keeping her sedated. So he will probably be told soon. He is staying with a close family friend.

More hugs and prayers for your friends. Thinking of you all xxx

Too funny about Brooklyn having to explain that her name was not Broccoli!

Little Bella wrapped in a towel is just so cute!!!

Love the holiday themed little figures! I may have to get a package on the next trip, but I will make sure I pay for them first before leaving with them. :lmao::goodvibes

She still looks a little chilly, super cute too

Oh my gosh, Eeyore as a turkey is too funny, love it!

Bella's lips did get a little blue.

I was pleased with the nice selection I got. They are all on a shelf in my bedroom. I think I could manage to get a pack or two each trip to add to the collection.

Bella is so adorable, all bundled up in her towel. And double adorable, snuggled up in her pack and play.

Brooklynn looks so big in that pop tart picture!

I have never eaten anything from Earl of Sandwich and I am very much looking forward to dining there on this upcoming trip!

The bread at Earl of Sandwich is so good, so whatever they put on it is just a bomus.

Praying for the Deegan family. Love all the updates. We will be at SSR in March. Loved all ur holiday pics.

March will be here before you know it. We're chipping away at January very quickly. :thumbsup2 I am always used to saying 'March', too, but this year, saying February just makes it sound a lot closer, even if it is the last days of February.

Oh my, that poor family....
Prayers coming their way. I can't even begin to imagine the pain that mother is going through.

Bella wrapped in towels is terribly cute, I wish it had been warmer for their swimming...

I wondered who had called Brooklynn Broccoli!! That's really funny....

On our last day, it was nice and warm, and they got to have a lot of water time with our cousins over at Pop, where they were staying. It was a beautiful day, and it sure made it hard to leave.

I just feel so much for all of them - the dad who is having to manage all of this and deal with his loss, the mom who is in physical and emotional pain, the siblings who have lost their big brother, their friends and family who are hurting and helping them through this. I know everyone just has so much on them right now. Our hearts truly to go out to all of you and them, reelmom.

I'm so sorry to hear this! How horrible. Sending nothing but good thought to this family during the horrible time. May god help them.

As always, things like this make us to put our everyday small trials into perspective.

oh goodness, that family is definitely in my prayers.

I am glad that they have so many people that they don't even know sending thoughts and prayers for comfort.

I'll continue to pray for the family.

6:20 for OHana!! Awesome!!. I am trying to decide now if we stay at Pop or AK studio. It's pretty much the same $$, so I'll ask Noah & Alice what they want to do.

If the money is not that much different, I would give them the AK experience. Have they been there or to Pop at all? I can't remember if you've said anything about their prior Disney trips.

What other things will you be doing while you are in Florida?

You and I (the two early birds around here) have quite a habit of typing over each other in the morning.

I like those little figures because they are small, cute, and cheap, considering I can get three Disney 'memories' in one pack. I think they had people like me in mind when they created them. :thumbsup2

I am glad to know you will pay for yours before you walk out of the store. You better believe I will hold them high over my head from now on, too, so someone will see me and stop me before I try to 'thieve' any more!!! :)

What other things will you be doing while you are in Florida?

Ok nobody shout at me.... but we will be visiting Universal as well!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
:rotfl:

We have some thrill lovers in the family and they love some of the fast thrill rides at Universal. Plus we are all Harry Potter fans and can't wait for a look around Hogsmeade!

We will be going to Sea World for the day as I just know the kids will love seeing the sea-life there. And we're also thinking about Busch Gardens as I understand there is quite a good zoo area there too.

Otherwise we'll have free days for relaxing at the villa, shopping (my first choice shopping is at DTD!), going to the beach maybe? I also want to look at a few resorts and play mini golf at Disney. And my OH will want to take Toby to Blizzard Beach!

We are going to attempt to visit the "main" parks together, in one big family unit (although we may split up whilst we're in there) and then on free days - they will be family days and basically days where I will force OH and Toby to do all things Disney!!!

I am open to all ideas and suggestions!

I forgot to comment on the Broccoli name calling! So cute and so funny! You can't help but giggle! :lmao:

I just love the pics of little Bella wrapped in a towel and sleeping. She looks like Blake, my 2yo. He refuses to be covered up. He will wiggle his way out of any cover. That is why fleece pajamas are my friend in the winter. Did you get snow yesterday? It snowed huge flakes here and they are forecasting snow tomorrow and Sun/Mon.

That is great that you were able to score a 6:20 ADR on the 4th for 'Ohana! For our trip in October I stalked the ADR site twice a day for 2 months to get a better time! I hope you enjoy the dinner. It is one of our favorites.

Great updates! The sleeping Bella pictures are just too cute.

Well, Alice has stayed there before; she was with me at NYE last year. Noah hasn't stayed there but I know he'd like it. I really love Pop & I'll leave it up to the kids, but the high points for AKV are:
* Laundry for no extra charge
* Kitchenette in room
* We'd each get our own bed, since the AKV studio room has a sleeper chair as well.

So, I would imagine we'll end up staying there but the kids are the decision makers for this trip, so I'll leave it up to them.

Update on the Deegan Family:

Mom and baby are still in critical but stable condition. Both are in ICU. Mom is awake and was told yesterday about her son. The doctors were against telling her for fear of a setback but her husband decided to go ahead. Our Pastor was by their side when he told her. Hopefully, I will find out more information tonight at church. Thank you so much for your prayers. I know that the LORD hears them and He is there to comfort this family.

Send prayers to the Deegan Family... :littleangel:

I'm so sad for this family being mentioned here. :( What a tragic way to begin 2011.

Great update MeMom! I also have never had a bad sandwich from Earl. Yum, yum. I'm glad you were able to spend a good amount of time with Trent. :)

That is so cute that Jenessa was calling Brooklynn "broccoli".:)

I love the pic of Bella wrapped in the towel & the one of her sleeping:cutie: So cute!!

You got some great little figures in your packages (after you paid for them). The are all cute. I like having little things to put around my desk at work. That might be an idea...

I may have just talked my Mom into going for a short October trip:banana::banana: after realizing that we have been in the Magic Kingdom for the 15th and 25th Anniversaries! :cool1: We don't dare miss the 40th Anniversary, now do we?! :rolleyes1:woohoo:

I just love the Magic Kingdom in October!

Any idea when the Pixar Suites will start taking reservations by chance?

Time to start planning a trip... :surfweb: :thumbsup2

Love the explanation of the TR title! Too funny and cute! :rotfl2: The pics of Bella bring me right back to when my own kids would sleep when they were little. :lovestruc

Love the little figures- so many cute ones. Would love some for myself, just don't know what I would do with them. hmmm

Continued prayers for the Deegan family... :grouphug:

As long as you will be there, you may end up having more than one!

They had nice towels at Saratoga Springs. They were bigger and thicker than Pop towels.

We do have 4 non park days scattered throughout our stay so I am sure we will head there more than once.

I am sure the towels are better at a DVC resort then a Value resort. :) I asked DH if he wanted to stay shorter but in nicer resort or longer in Value. He chose a longer stay. I was surprised but he is planning this to be our only trip there (silly man).

I don't know a thing about Harry Potter, so I won't be adding to the crowd there. I'm sure it is cool for those who know all about it.

Definitely put in some time at DTD. Basin, Twelve Days of Christmas, Goofy's, Once Upon a Toy, Pin Traders, World of Disney.... I would love to be there right now. When I say something to Trent about going over there, he says, "That's a half hour away." I could just choke him! Half hour? I'd love to be half hour away!

SeaWorld would be a different experience than any of the Disney parks. It's been a long time since I have been to Busch Gardens, but we liked it. It doesn't compare to Disney World, but it is (or was) nice in its own right.

We had a pretty snow yesterday, but it only stuck on the ground, not the streets. It was just a dusting, but it was pretty while it was falling.

There are pros and cons to each, I am sure. I like having the animals to look at and the zero entry pool at AK. I like the kiddie pool and the bright colors of Pop. Either way, you will have a blast!

Send prayers to the Deegan Family... :littleangel:

In such times of heartache, we hold out own children just a little closer. :lovestruc Thanks for joining in our group. You will meet a lot of nice people here who care about each others' joys and sorrows.

My heart is breaking for this family

It is sad to think that just two weeks ago they were enjoying the happiness of Christmas, and now this blindsides them.

Great update MeMom! I also have never had a bad sandwich from Earl. Yum, yum. I'm glad you were able to spend a good amount of time with Trent.

All of us with kids can relate to the depth of love this mother had for her son. His absence will leave a big hole in her life.

Trent called today and said 50 days sounded like a long time. He said seven weeks sounded a lot better. :thumbsup2 Weeks go by quickly, so we'll be there before he knows it. He said he has been very busy at work with all of the NY resolutioners.

I have a few small things from Epcot on a shelf at work, and when I look at them, I do get a lift thinking of good times past and of good times to come. I remind myself of happier things on particularly rough days. The small figures are at home, but I might take them to school sometime to show my kids. They'd like them.

Time to start planning a trip...

A 40th anniversary trip is a must! I think I read that it is a rule that anyone that was there for the 15th and 25th had to go back for the 40th. I'm sure of it. :thumbsup2

I don't have a clue when they'll start taking reservations. I'm anxious to see what progress is made when we go in February and then in July.

Love the explanation of the TR title! Too funny and cute! The pics of Bella bring me right back to when my own kids would sleep when they were little.

Bella just looked so peaceful in that picture. Her Mickey was close by, but something not good happened to poor Mickey later in the trip.

We don't have total non-park days, but we have days when we'll do either morning or evening and then do other things the other part of the day.

Of course, we don't stay two weeks, either! :goodvibes

We have to have 4 non park days because we can get only 10 day tickets. I wouldn't be surprised though if DH caves and purchases extra days while we are there. It will depend on $$$$, but the idea of having days to set aside and be at the pool or DTD or resort hopping does sound nice and relaxing.

If we had two weeks, we could easily do several no-park days. Don't worry about it a bit. Between DTD and all the resorts, as well as just enjoying your own resort and pool, you will be glad you have some days to have no agenda. Sleep late, maybe have one of your big meals at one of the resorts or whatever - sounds very good to me. ::yes:: These might be days you could do a campfire at Fort Wilderness or a movie on the Beach Club beach or go to the Boardwalk or do mini-golf or try out a waterpark or watch Wishes from the Polynesian or... oh well, you'll surely find something to do, as hard as that might be. ;)

MeMom I saw on facebook that today is the 50 day mark  That means 47 days for me!

I only have one more week of this semester before exams(which I only have two of this time :worship:) and then once the grades are put in, my college applications go out  I'm done with them except for the essay. I'm almost done with that too, I just need to edit it and re-word some parts. I'm so glad I'm getting the applications out of the way before we go to Disney so it won't be hanging over my head! The final draft of the senior project paper is due a couple weeks before that, so that'll be out of the way too :cool1:

I thought the snow was pretty too. We got around 2 inches, but it melted today. We are expecting another round tomorrow morning into Saturday and supposedly a stronger system Sun/Mon. The schools around here are going crazy since we have already missed so many days. We have so many back roads that do not see the light of day. Snow and ice stick around and makes driving hazardous.
 for 50 days. I will have to actually count my days. I think it is around 65 days. I am getting more and more excited especially about doing a more laid back vacation this time and I am looking forward to having our own car.
