My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

That is so sad. I cannot even imagine what they are going through. Thoughts & prayers for them.

MeMom glad you got the ressie for the 4th. It should be a great time!!

I get the emails everyday from LaughingPlace. They have a lot of 40th anniv. items out. I will wait until May & see the items myself before buying anything. I think LaughingPlace is highly priced!! I have bought a few items but not too many from them.

I think we will have such a good time. We are all pretty excited about those big meat skewers we've seen pictures of!

Laughing Place is expensive. I have ordered a couple of those DVD's from them over the years, but mostly I just look.

Can you imagine the pain that is going on for the friends of the ten year old? At that age, it is going to hit them pretty hard.

'Ohana and the Poly on the 4th will be fabulous! :)

Yeah! :cool1: We will stuff ourselves and then roll out onto the beach.

Everyone will have a GREAT time at Ohana's! It's always such a lively place with such a fun atmosphere :)

Ohana's on the fourth for dinner and fireworks will be so fun!!! I am actually surprised you were able to grab something -- I would think it would have booked up almost immediately. Pixie dust for sure! :wizard:

Oh, and yes, I would very much like a preview of 40th anniversary merchandise in February! :thumbsup2

Oh I agree! That is some serious pixie dust to get Ohanas on July 4?!? SCORE!!!! :thumbsup2

Update on the Deegan Family:

Mom and baby are still in critical but stable condition. Both are in ICU. Mom is awake and was told yesterday about her son. The doctors were against telling her for fear of a setback but her husband decided to go ahead. Our Pastor was by their side when he told her. Hopefully, I will find out more information tonight at church. Thank you so much for your prayers. I know that the LORD hears them and He is there to comfort this family.

You are welcome to stop in and be a part of our family get-togethers just any old time. :thumbsup2

I'll friend you now on Facebook so that I'll know when the next family gathering will be! Just give me plenty of advance notice so that I will have enough of driving time from Minnesota! :thumbsup2 :lmao: ;) :goodvibes

(I'll probably friend you anyway-love keeping up with Jill and the girls through her FB acct!) :flower3:

What a horrible situation, but it is probably best that she knows now better than later. I will continue to pray for that family. Thank you for the update. :flower3:

We have seen people with their leis out on the beach on 4th of July night, and this time, those people will be us. :thumbsup2 I love the atmosphere of that resort overall.

Ohana's on the 4th of July will be fun before the big fireworks.

Yep, and there is a chance there will be a webcam. I heard Dave say the girls wanted to come back for the 4th, so we'll see. :)

I will take plenty of pictures for you. ::yes::

I was afraid it would already be booked for the good times, but we got a 6:20, so we're happy.

You girls had me doubting my reservation, so I went back and checked. I was worried, but it does indeed confirm that we are in. :woohoo:

Just be sure and tell me your DIS name so I know who you are.

It's not far from Minnesota to Tennessee, right? ;) Just through the blinding snow and four foot drifts a few hundred miles...

That poor mother - having to deal with this while she is already in such pain. She must just be in shock at this point. God is in control of this, and He has His purpose and plan, although it is very often hard for us to see what it is. This is where complete trust and faith comes in, because there is really no other choice.

After we left Magic Kingdom without eating a Dole Whip, we met Trent, Tanya, and her niece, Janessa, back at Saratoga Springs. The girls wanted to swim for a little while.

Janessa and Brooklynn became fast friends, but Janessa was just very sure that her name was Broccoli. Brooklynn let it go a few times, but then she finally felt comfortable enough to say, "My name is not Broccoli!" I don't think Janessa really processed that, though, because she pretty much continued to call her Broccoli the whole time they were with us.

They said the water was fine, but when they came out, it was a bit cool.

SSRStayOct2010185.jpg

We didn't stay at the pool very long.

Here's Bella staying warm now that she is out of the water.

Then we went to Downtown Disney, which was right across the lake. :dance3: I think I texted Wigd about how neat that was.

Outside Earl's, I took this picture and sent it to some of you.
Sorry I couldn't get it without people. They were just going in one after the other to have pictures made, so there was no empty time.

SSRStayOct2010187.jpg

There was no place to sit inside or out, so we parked ourselves here.

I have never had a bad sandwich from the dear old Earl.

I love the picture of Bella all wrapped in the towel so sweet. :goodvibes

I can't wait to try a sandwich from the dear old Earl.

We spent a few minutes in Pin Traders.

After that, we went back to the room. Nicole had been texting with us, and it worked out that she was coming in to SSR a little after us. She said she'd get off at our stop, so we walked down there to meet her.

It was so nice for me to meet her after all this time. Jill had met her on a previous trip for just a minute, but it was the one that I didn't go on.

So, here we are, and yes, there is another picture of me. That doubles my quota for a long time to come now.

Next morning - here's my precious sleeping baby again.

Brookie-bear waking up with 'sugarmon' Pop-tarts.
Poor Lola Cow was being used as a pillow at this time.

Yep, those were the stolen mini-figures packages. :rolleyes1

It was time to open them and see what our treasures were.

SSRStayOct2010199.jpg

I was pleased. :)

As long as you will be there, you may end up having more than one!

They had nice towels at Saratoga Springs. They were bigger and thicker than Pop towels.

Bella is so adorable, all bundled up in her towel. And double adorable, snuggled up in her pack and play.

Brooklynn looks so big in that pop tart picture!

I have never eaten anything from Earl of Sandwich and I am very much looking forward to dining there on this upcoming trip!

Praying for the Deegan family. Love all the updates. We will be at SSR in March. Loved all ur holiday pics.

Oh my, that poor family....
Prayers coming their way. I can't even begin to imagine the pain that mother is going through.

Bella wrapped in towels is terribly cute, I wish it had been warmer for their swimming...

I wondered who had called Brooklynn Broccoli!! That's really funny....:lmao:

Another update:
The baby was released from the hospital tonight. She initially had brain swelling because the top of the carseat was folded over and pushed down on top of her. However, the swelling has gone down enough to release her and they don't think she will have any long term effects. The Mom is still in ICU but hoping to be moved to a step down unit. She has major trauma to her neck and spine. She is sedated because they want her to have minimun movement because there is still the fear of paralysis. There is another child who was not in the car. He is 8 and has not been told of his brother's passing. The Mom wanted to be able to tell him when she got home but they are not sure when that is going to be, plus they are keeping her sedated. So he will probably be told soon. He is staying with a close family friend.

I'm so sorry to hear this! How horrible. Sending nothing but good thought to this family during the horrible time. May god help them.

I'll continue to pray for the family. :(

6:20 for OHana!! Awesome!! :). I am trying to decide now if we stay at Pop or AK studio. It's pretty much the same $$, so I'll ask Noah & Alice what they want to do.
